We can highly recommend this place. Whilst it's essentially a river beach destination well situated up in the mountains between Miranda de Corvo and Espinhal. The restaurant located strategically on the river offers a world class Ambience run by two amazing gentleman Jaõ d Lacima and his partner Ricardo. The restaurant is normally booked out in the summer season so be mindful to call in advance. There food albeit traditional Portuguese is prepared in a fine dining presentation and is highly recommended, Jaõ the chef is a local TV chef personality that embraces the essence of local taste and is known to travel a 300 mile round trip to the coastal fish market to source the catch of the day, and there meat products are all organically reared produce, freshness is key to them and all there desserts are home made from scratch. Small resting area (few parasoles over nice grass). Water green and smelly. Even during summer holiday "restaurant" means couple of quick pub dishes, not real restaurants at all (despite the fact the building seems to be prepared to accommodate it ). Showers with colder water than the bathing pools and you need to hold the button pressed constantly to get water running (how to rinse your back or hair). Wonderful river beach, clear and clean water with beautiful luxurious surroundings and blue flag. Very good amenities, clean toilets with showers.
