In Peniche, I was mesmerized by the sheer rugged beauty of the coast where the Atlantic Ocean meets Europe. Standing by the iconic lighthouse, I gazed across dramatic cliffs shaped by wind and waves, and marveled at the geological wonders like the canyon and underwater structures that make these shores so unique. This peninsula is famed for its surf spots, rich maritime culture, and natural splendor—truly a perfect place to witness the power and tranquility...

Spectacular setting and views! My two observations are that there wasn't enough signage about how unique the geology of the area is, and also that there are virtually no rails, supports, or other means of preventing the public from injury, either minor or major! I realize that this might be a cultural difference with me, but some types of handholds and supports should be inexpensive and...

Beautiful surroundings, impressive limestone coast, not crowded with tourists - really an amazing spot to visit, to see the coast, to see nice stone formations. The lighthouse is still active, so cannot be visited. But in essence, it’s more about seeing the coast, so definitely worth a visit!

The rocky coast is spectacular here. It's great to drive across the Peniche coast by car and do some stops along. You can get some nice pictires here and overall there aren't that many tourists. Be aware that the temperature here is a lot lower than a few kilometres inland. Bring a jacket ;)
