Praia de Cacela Velha is an absolute gem along the Algarve coast. This beach is nothing short of paradise, offering pristine sands, clear turquoise waters, and a tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of more crowded tourist spots.

What makes this beach truly unique is its sense of seclusion and natural beauty. You can only access it by boat or a scenic walk at low tide, which adds to its charm and exclusivity. The views from the historic village of Cacela Velha, perched above the beach, are breathtaking and offer a glimpse into the Algarve's rich history and culture.

The water is calm and perfect for swimming, and the expansive sandbanks are ideal for sunbathing or a peaceful stroll. There are minimal facilities, so it's advisable to bring your own food, water, and sun protection, but this only enhances the unspoiled, natural vibe of the beach.

If you appreciate unspoiled nature and a quiet, serene beach experience, Praia de Cacela Velha is a must-visit. It's a hidden treasure that provides a perfect retreat from the more commercialized areas of the Algarve. Highly recommended for nature lovers and those seeking a...

Beautiful beach in a small miniscule village with a fort in the eastern Algarve. With shallows so 'thin' that it's enough to walk knee or waist high into the little island ahead. You see the odd couple here and there, guy walking the dog, parents and 2 kids, but pretty much empty, no tourists, no crowds and warm warm water in the shallows, perfect for a swim and kids.

Too much of an effort for the typical tourist to visit, you gotta drive or you gotta rent, no massive hotels ruining...

Wild unspoilt beach which goes on for miles. Careful with the tides as it is not accessible from Cacela Velha at high tide. However, there is a ferry service from Fabrica. Lots of wildlife such as crabs, birds, fish and I personally had the amazing experience of seeing a school of dolphins pass by next to the beach. There is a cafe with snacks in Fabrica. Parking can be found both in Fabrica and Cacela Velha but I imagine that it must be a problem during the...
