I was meeting with someone in front of the museum and the guide heard us talking outside. He spontaneously invited us to visit this ancient building and took the time to tell us some entertaining stories about the history. If you happen to be in Ponta Delgada this is definitely worthwhile a stop. The museum lives with its storyteller, and he was absolutely amazing! Thanks for your invitation.

The music concert was advertised in Solar do Aposento so today we decided to look at this place before enjoying music. And a lovely surprise! Free guided tour was offered when we were welcome at the entrance . Pedro showed us around the house telling fascinating stories about its history and collections.The tour was very entertaining and educative, we really enjoyed it as well as the concert in the garden. It's a nice place to visit. An 18 century Manor house with original furniture and kitchen. A voyage in time guided by a well humored and passionate guide, Pedro, that loves what he does. There is also a museum where paintings by Portuguese artist Alice Sousa are in exhibition.
