Started by queueing longer with everyone who had booked a ticket online like us than people who turned up on the day without a booking - we arrived ten minutes before opening time and weren't in until 15 minutes past opening time. You cannot walk around the park with bare feet unless you're happy to not only be burned by the scalding hot concrete but also have your feet gradually worn down by the rough surfaces. No water walkways like at Slide n Splash. Same situation queueing for the slides too, you're up all that way above ground with no shade and just feeling your feet burn on the ground from no shade at all. The staff are rude and unhelpful - no clear queue system for buying food and drinks so everyone is confused and annoyed with each other. The staff don't fill your drink properly every time, trying to get away with filling your drink less. After paying €17+ for one chicken strips meal they then made me pay €0.80 for two tiny ketchup sachets because the whole meal only came with one sachet. Went to buy earplugs for my wife and the package says €2 on a box of earplugs - we pay €2 only for the staff member to open the packet, take 2x earplugs out of the package that contains 4x earplugs and hand them to my wife. The slides themselves are dangerous, numerous ring rides do not have enough water on the landing such as the Kobra, so you whack your bottom on the slide at the end. You also hit your feet on th concrete sides of the Raging Rapids ride because it's poorly designed and dangerous. Above all honestly the burning feet situation is the worst. Makes getting around the park painful and you feel completely neglected by the park as a whole and regret giving them any money and a day of your holiday. Staff were rude whenever we interacted with them. Avoid and go to...

Went to this park almost 20 years ago and it's sad seeing that not much has changed. I went during low season and only one restaurant was open. The options were bad: hamburguer, pizza and some desserts that I didn't ask for. The average price for a meal was 17 euros. 17 for a small hamburguer. I ended up asking for the pizza to not starve. I understand it was going to be expensive but the menus were so poorly thought out it would be ridiculous to pay that amount. The pizza ended up being 14eur, which is ok and much bigger that that tiny sad hamburguer.

In terms of attractions, it could be a lot better, considering its competition now. I think Aqualand used to be way fuller when I was a kid. There were not as many parks at the time, and this one seemed a nice catch. Now, with Aquashow and others, Aqualand seems to be a joke, with poor management. It is cheaper than the others, I'll give it that because if it were the same price as Aquashow it wouldn't survive.

Another problem I noticed, and this is something that hasn't changed since I was a kid, is how hot the floor gets. I still remember how my feet hurt from walking on the pavement when I was a kid. I went in June now and same problem. I definitely think this should be considered. Maybe add some sort of structure that people can walk on.

Honestly, it isn't a bad park. There are not many water parks in Portugal so this is still a decent option. It's cheap. There are attractions for both kids and adults. Two pools...

I'm not seeing myself coming back and if I decide to go to another park it'll be another one, even if I pay more. It's not so much about the money but the quality this one brings. It's like it's...

As we got there you have to walk up a 30° hill to get in. With a buggy that is very hard also coming out too felt like the buggy was going to drag me down and fly off. Inside first impressions very good... until you start to dig deeper. My little girl wanted a slush untill I seen gigantic ants running all over the counter tops and sweets on the front it was gross. Payed 4euro each per sunbed to be attacked by giant ants . Went the toilets to be greeted with a smell what was a mixture of vomit and faeces . Toilet paper brown and when your hit with that smell it makes u a liitle suspicious. Went for dinner ordered chicken and chips or if u like frango and chips. She gave me a chicken salad. I thought I like salad so I didn't say anything.. opened my chicken ceaser salad to soggy stale croutons i though ahh well ill take or leave them... dug around for my chicken and I was absolutely mortified to find cold breaded chicken nuggets amongst a mound of leaves!! After wanting to leave but I had to stay for the kids sake we decided to head to the pool... on a sunny day we obviously had our sunglasses on so our eyes would frazzle when a lady (life guard) came over and politely told us if we wanted to stay in the pool we had to remove our sunglasses !!!! Hahaha I look at my mum gob smacked I couldn't belive what I was hearing . But rest assured she stood her ground and made us remove them. I can honestly say I will never be returning to this water park ever!!! I will never recommend to any one ... go to zoo marine it's the best place in Portugal 1 day isn't long enough to see this...

Aqualand Algarve Type: water park Time spent: 6-8h Parking: available Bike parking: not available WC: available [!]Current price [per day]: 31 EUR - offline/19 EUR online Current bargains: for children, 2nd return [15 EUR], aqua weekends, etc. The locker cost is 7 euros (2 EUR will be given back after the key is returned). Also, you can pay extra for "a fast pass" - special [short] queues for those who paid extra. Restaurant: available [the average cost of menu is 15-18 EUR (hamburger, fries and Coca-Cola)] How to get there [from Faro/Albufeira/Lagos/Portimao]? By train [to Poco Barreto] + 5.4 km By bus [n.14 from Portimao] By car The waterpark is not overcrowded. The external [entrance] and internal [slides] queues are quite small [except the one to a restaurant]. The price of drinks is quite high, so I advise you to buy something in advance. Each of the slides has age (in fact - height) restrictions. Also, there are some restrictions regarding glasses. Slides [basic review]: The longest queue: King Cobra The shortest queue: banzai, tapetes voadores The most extreme slides: kamikadze, banzai, salto louco The softests attractions: rio lento, piscina de ondas The other side: Some attractions need to be checked, like the surface of the kamikaze slide. It may damage your clothes. No changing rooms and no hair dryers Restaurant queue takes 20-60 min, but the service is fast [up to 10 min in my case] No bicycle parking The showers are not working In the case of "Rapidos slide," people crash into each other. It is not so fun when someone with a double weight hits you.

We bought tickets online as they offered them as a discounted price on their website. It was very easy to navigate & purchase tickets as the site was also available in English with different (international) payment options without any extra or hidden fees. By purchasing online we also got 1 voucher per entrance ticket for a discount on all food menu’s! We (1 adult, 2 kids) arrived during the summer holiday around 12pm, and we were immediately able to enter without any line. Overall the experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff was generally very friendly, respectful and accommodating. Some even went the extra mile to give kids an unforgettable and thrilling experience. The queue for the slides moved very quickly and at times there weren’t any lines. The variety of slides also offered alternatives when one slide was busy. Additionally the park was clean and organized, in between/otw to slides it wasn’t an issue to walk barefoot (besides the heat) as the infrastructure seemed well-maintained. We also had our picture taken multiple times but I’ve seen some people polity decline and the photographers respected that as well. We did not get a locker but instead just left our stuff under a parasol, often unattended. Nothing was stolen/missing. I definitely recommend visiting this waterpark as we were pleasantly surprised by the experience!
