I'm rating it with 4 stars only because of the temporary Porsche exhibition. The rest of the museum, even if you're a motorhead, is poor considering the relatively high price you pay for the entrance (8 euros). Today's museums, especially those related to technological aspects of our life - such as this one, 80% about cars - need to implement new exhibition techniques, swifter and more interactive than a car and a sign with a couple of sentences about it. Bragging about all the cars being ready to run and then you can't even approach one to open a door, feel it inside or hear it's engine running is something I honestly don't understand. Not even through a recorded sound playable next to the car? Come on, you can do better than that! As I mention above, the Porsche exhibition is a must - I'm a Porsche fan by the way - and the Star Wars temporary is also neat. The toys shouldn't be there and the art museum is poor with a couple of exceptions. Handicapped people can't access the museum - steps and steps to go everywhere without lifts or ramps available. Ladies need to smile a bit more. If you don't want to see people get...

This is a gem of a museum hidden in the heavily forested central region of Portugal. Surrounded by roads from all directions of the country that are a car or bike lovers' dream. If you are coming from Agueda, the old road is littered with hundreds of corners. Road condition a little degraded in parts but nothing my 35 profile 19inch wheels had any trouble with. Do the full museum experience that will take you 2-3 hours and then explore the area around Tondela and head to Quinta do Cabriz restaurant for more stunning roads and a great lunch at the restaurant on the...

If you are a Car, Motorcycle AND art enthusiast, this is an absolute MUST visit. A great place, extremely well taken care of with a knowledgeable and cordial stuff. 3 different buildinds, Lambos, Ferraris and the most interesting collection of vintage cars I did see in qyite some time. In the same space, art works of an impressive range, crowned by the likes of Dali and Picasso. A superb treat. You can visit everywhere during the full day for around 10€, as you can have an extremely nice lunch for cheap in one of the many places in the vicinity. In a...

Stunning car collection, although it's not the largest one I've seen and I wouldn't drive 5 hours just to see it. The cars on display are worth seeing, and there's something for everyone. There is also a small art section with paintings... it's worth taking a look. And there's a room dedicated solely to toy cars and collectibles. Everything is well-maintained and spotless. The short drive (10 minutes) to the second part of the museum is worth it. It's not a massive complex, but it was still very interesting to see how the vintage cars are restored.

A wonderful museum! Spent 2 hours there before going on to the Motor Experience. Suitable for all ages. A large exhibit of Dinky toys and similar, lead soldiers and similar. Rooms of interesting articles, porcelain, tapestries, furniture, some religious artifacts. Several rooms of superb art works. The ethos is quality not quantity and it really shows. Then a second building of vintage cars and bikes. Staff were very friendly, helpful and had some English. Most of the labeling was in both Portuguese and English.
