Restaurant Review: I recently dined at this restaurant and I made a special booking to celebrate our birthdays which was mentioned in our booking , which claims to be a Michelin-starred establishment, but my experience was far from what I expected.
Food Quality: I ordered a vegetarian quinoa salad, and to my dismay, I saw the chef using their hands to prepare it. The salad was poorly made, and I ended up feeling sick later that night. The falafels served were store-bought and cold, which was quite disappointing. My husband ordered a steak, which came with store-bought chips, adding to our dissatisfaction. Service: While the staff was polite, the overall service did not match the high standards one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Value for Money: For the price of $140 Canadian dollars, the quality of food and service was unacceptable. The only redeeming factor was the Portuguese gin I ordered, which was excellent. Overall Experience: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this based on my experience. The food quality and preparation were subpar, and it did not live up to its Michelin-star reputation.
Most aweful thing was that chef did not wear gloves as I could see from my table !! Btw it was weekday and they were totally of 6 people...
Read moreWe arrived late for a tour and tasting. I called before I arrived informing them we would be late and asked if we should still come - they said “no problem” and that we should come.
When we arrived the staff was super overwhelmed and they massively rushed our wine tour, barely stopping to tell us any facts what wines we were tasting.
Halfway into the tasting we were told our winery tour was cancelled. I wish they were transparent about this up front as we would have gone elsewhere and this seemed like a roundabout way to let us know this (once we were already seated, drinking wine, couldn’t easily leave…)
Wines were subpar across the board, some of the single varietal bottles better than others though. Food is good. The design of the restaurant is a mix of Bahaus and mid-century modern, which is very cool.
Overall: don’t expect great service, staff seems temperamental, wines are not noteworthy, but food and restaurant (especially given the view) is really nice if you’re...
Read moreMy family and I went on a tour and wine tasting at AdegaMae, and the experience we had was incredible. The winery itself is an absolute gem, showcasing meticulous attention to detail in every aspect. Our tour was made all the more enriching thanks to our guide, who provided us with insightful and informative commentary throughout. But the real highlight was the wine tasting session, which can only be described as phenomenal. Each wine we sampled was expertly paired with traditional Portuguese dishes such as pica pau and choco frito, elevating our tasting experience to new heights. I can't go without mentioning the stunning interior of the winery and the impeccable service we received, which truly added to the overall charm of our visit. We will be definitely...
