Located about 1750 meters above sea level, this farm is full of sheep that you can pet and feed food! Tickets vary depending on age, but it's about an average of NT$250 for one adult I think? The sheep are so fun to interact with! They like to eat the grass from the ground, and you can pet their wool gently when they're eating the food. There's also a vending machine where they sell two different types of sheep food, for NT$30 each. However, I think the sheep know where the food is just by sniffing the bags [they have a good sense of smell], which is why all of them are all around the vending machines and people, waiting to be fed. Just put the food on your palm, and the sheep would eat it off without biting you! This farm is split into 2 different parts actually. There's horse riding as well, but it's located at the farm south of this park. The scenery is extremely beautiful as well! There's another huge area down where you can take the wooden stairs down, with a lot more sheep for you to interact with! It's extremely scenic and really makes you feel you're at the countryside, away from the bustling cities! There's also a food court outside of the farm. You can re-enter the farm anytime for the day if you wish to exit and come back later, by putting a stamp on your hand. I highly recommend driving here, it's worth it! The gift shop also sells sheep themed stuff, Taiwan keychains, snacks, as well as goat's milk!

情境農場 /qing jing nong chang / in English we call Cingjing Farm that is located in Nantou County. The journey by bus from Taichung, Taiwan will take for about 2 hours. It's a great place to enjoy the beautiful mountain, grassland, tree, blue sky view and also play along with the sheeps. The air is so fresh. It's a good choice coming here to enjoy the nature and have picnic with our lovely one. To enjoy New Zealand view in Taiwan, we could come to Cingjing Farm 😊 The sheep can walk and play freely here. We also could purchase the sheep food. There were two Chinese woman who gave me the sheep food. Thanks to them, we could feed and play along with the cute sheep. Cingjing Farm also provides souvenir shop. At this shop, they also sell milk, ice cream, skin care that is made from the sheep milk. I tried 紅豆羊乳雪餅 / hong dou yang ru xue bing, ice cream stick made from sheep milk and red bean. Actually, this is my first time trying sheep milk. The taste isn't as savory as cow milk. And the ice cream also less sweet. Since the sheeps are so cute, I tried to feed the ice cream to them, but they always refuse it. The sheeps won't eat their own "product", will they? 😁

Very relaxing walk. The sheep there will go to anyone with food, so it is not difficult to feed them and take pictures with them. But be careful, as one of the sheeps had been very aggressive and bit onto my paper bag of grass before forcefully snatching it from me. It ate the entire bag of grass and even ate the paper bag. The area is very beautiful and was a nice walk. Although there is a need to be cautious when walking, as there is a lot of goat poop along the trail and on the grass. We tried the goat's milk ice cream and found it refreshing as it had a unique taste and nice texture, although slightly costly. Despite being highly inaccessible without driving, it was worth the high taxi fare charged by the private hire cars that are not metered. It was fun for both adults and kids. We were also lucky as we went during winter, but the weather was sunny but windy, making it not too hot yet not too cold. We were even more relieved when we heard that it snowed a few days after we left, as the temperature had dipped from 11⁰C at night to -2⁰C at night.

As someone who’s 100% a city girl, I have to admit this wasn’t quite my scene. If you’re not used to farm smells or the possibility of stepping in fresh goat poop, I’d suggest just enjoying a stroll around the Skyline instead! The goats themselves were surprisingly calm—but I personally couldn’t handle them walking and… doing their business at the same time. Let’s just say, it was a bit too authentic for me. One highlight for me was the friendly ticket counter staff—she spoke fluent American English, which made communication really easy and pleasant. That was a small but much appreciated touch! There’s also a cute little store inside, though I do wish someone had told us earlier that our tickets could be used to redeem drinks. We only found out after leaving the farm—what a miss! The cool mountain air was lovely, and my boyfriend clearly had a great time. As for me… I wore my best “I’m enjoying this” face while silently wishing for fresher air.

Visited here during March, and it was an incredible experience! The weather was perfect with nice, mild temperatures, making the whole visit very comfortable. One of the highlights was feeding the sheep; they were so friendly and it was a delightful activity, especially for kids. The mountain views were breathtaking, with lush green fields stretching out as far as the eye could see. During the sakura blooming season, the scenery was even more stunning with beautiful cherry blossoms adding a splash of color to the landscape. There were also various fruit stalls and Taiwan street food vendors, which offered a great opportunity to taste local flavors. The fresh fruits and delicious street food were a perfect complement to the scenic beauty of the farm. Overall, Qingjing Farm is a fantastic place to visit, especially in March when the weather is lovely and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Highly recommended for nature lovers and families!

I visited on February 22, 2024 and got really lucky with the weather and season! I wasn’t expecting that the cherry blossoms would be in full bloom already. There were many people as expected. I didn’t bother trying to feed the sheep. I feel like they’re already overfed by tourists. I also missed the horse show and the sheep grazing wasn’t scheduled but it was ok since I loved the cherry blossoms. I made a mistake of walking the full length of the Cingjing Skywalk which is already outside the farm. The view was fantastic but I would rather spend more time at the farm to take photos. There are food stalls at the southern gate near the horse show. Don’t forget to stamp your hand so that you can come and go inside the farm, especially if you’re walking on the skywalk. I stayed in a nearby BnB but note that if you have no car, it would be hard to move around since Cingjing is mountainous. Overall, this is the highlight of my trip to Taichung.
