Impressive cave window, you can only enter with guided group. Romanian guiding, so only able to follow properly thanks to translation help of someone in the group (multumim!). This explanation is largely the standard what you hear in every cave (origine, stalagmites/stalactites,...) and also what you can read on the big explanation panel outside the cave. But luckily some nice details about 80m high chimney and other things when we got on the walk. Completely unclear what to do when you cross the bridge as first of the group. If you are first to enter you can do twice the small walk in the cave. A pocket lamp is really handy in that case. There's light but not everywhere and there are a few slippery sides and crossings. If you are in a small group you can hear the bats. With the big group, they hide. At the cave a lot of people were camping in tents (there's a clean small wc building). Unfortunately some of the campers were putting loud music so you could experience the effect of the cave window on its acoustics. There's also a Via Ferrata on the rocks across the cave. Walking from Suncuius is possible but the asphalt road doesn't feel very safe to walk with kids. On a certain moment you get of that road and then it's still a walk on gravel/earth road but a much...

The access to the cave is only allowed as part of an organised guided group. There is a fee to be paid. Our guide was quite direct bordering on rude. There are many ways to tell people to be quiet or to follow the route and not all of them need to sound like an angry teacher telling naughty kids off. If you're in a big group, you might or might not hear what the guide is saying (our guide spoke only in Romanian). We have not seen any bats. A good chunk of the cave was off limits and the rest was not very impressive to be fair. Parts of the walk in the cave are quite slippery and kids and old people in particular can slip and injure themselves on the rocky uneven ground (something that happened in our group - luckily nothing serious). I would have awarded the cave itself 4 stars, but the rude guide put me off...

Restrictive rule that says the cave can only be visited in groups of 10 or more. We were 4 and there was no one else to go with yet the host/guide did not want to let us in. We were given no real arguments, it was just "because...". Such a nice way to treat tourists that came especially for the cave there, wow! Instead of making some money, the host preferred to refuse us and also say "I'm on my lunch break". She didn't use any bad words but had that dismissive, arrogant, passive-aggressive attitude. I visited with someone else who has seen it in the past and said it's not even worth the asking price, nothing spectacular. Thumbs down go to Șuncuiuș Hall (primăria) and to Dorem Agro SRL, the company that manages the cave. Romanians, you'd better start learning how to do...
