Ștrandul Clujana — Attraction in Cluj Metropolitan Area

There are many reviews which don't do enough justice to this place so I'm going to say why I gave it 5 stars:

It's not crowded and even on a Sunday with good weather, we were able to find an umbrella and 2 beach chairs. There is a lot of grass to play sports, make a picnic or just stroll around. Bathrooms and changing rooms are clean and about a dozen each. You have sun from 9 AM til 7 PM. The water is very clean and has a comfortable height so even persons who aren't good swimmers can reach the bottom (1.5m in average). There is a small bar where you can order beverages and some simple food, but they also allow you to bring your own food or drinks. Just be polite and don't leave trash. There are plenty of recycle bins around.

The prices on their website aren't updated. Here's a list of prices as of august 2021: adults: 40 RON (mon - fri), 50 RON (sat - sun), after 17:00 30 RON children (3 to 14 years): 30 RON, after 17:00 20 RON babies (0 to 3 years): 20 RON, after 17:00 10 RON persons over 65 years: 30 RON, after 17:00 20...

The place is not bad, but the services can be much better. The worst thing is that you have to stay in the same row for drinks and food so you spend a LOT of time waiting there. There should at least 2 rows so 1 would be only for drinks. Also the entrance price is pretty high for what you get...

50 lei just to swim in shallow water? Two adults and two kids, so we would pay 240 lei for just one day??? I’m not sure if anyone told you, but that’s about the price of a plane ticket to Corfu. Avoid this place and check Wizz Air or Ryanair flights from Cluj instead of wasting...
