Our family of 5 (kids 8,6,3) took the route to the Cabana, it was rated as the easiest walk among all other possible routes. Eventually it turned out to be a 480 metres vertical climb over 1.5 km aerial horizontal distance, from the bottom to the top of the mountain - 2.5 half hours of climb with the kids pace. The view in the end was truly breathtaking. BUT, 95 percent of the hike was in the woods (with no view at all) while walking in very steep non stop climb.
From an experienced hiker perspective - this route is boring, has nothing unique in it, other than the top mountain view. If it's part of a multi day extreme hike, it can work, but I definitely wouldn't go there for a single one day hike.
