To start with the positives; the view from the room is amazing. No doubt. What a shame that it’s from a dump of a room, in a dump of a hotel.|I cannot think of anything positive to say about Pensiunea Magura, bar the above.|The manager is absolutely in the wrong profession, as his attitude is terrible; thuggish and rude. Aggressive and threatening behaviour, too. |There are also glaring inconsistencies in their listing against what’s actually offered. Don’t come here expecting an on-site English speaker, nor if one expects a comprehensive menu for dinner. Neither were available. The food is one meal, with a choice of meat. And the prices are extortionate; 60 RON. As for the English speaker….let’s not go there. They became almost mythical by the end of our stay.|When my wife and I made our dissatisfaction known, we were greeted with laughing, accusations of drug use and being drunk. What’s more, the ‘manager’ tried to wiggle out of things by pretending Booking.com added things to the listing, or that I was using a different listing and using it against him to get ‘free things’. His female partner also abused us in Romanian.|Either way, we got a refund for our stay (from Booking, not the hotel itself) but the memories of this place will remain for years to come. Had my wife been staying on her own, it would’ve been a very frightening experience for her. Be mindful solo lady travellers.|Avoid this place if you can. You’ll not regret it.|There are much better places to stay, and I can imagine world-class service when compared to this void.|Zero charm. Zero effort. Zero...

Takes ages and a hard road to get there||The room was a bland white nothing (fair enough but for 50 bucks?!)||We literally chosen it as it had an English speaker. Lol. They didn't exist or existed between 7am and 10am maybe (not that they told us this). ||We sat in our room all day . What a great experience for the price. The weather isn't theor fault but mainly some amenities? Or appealing decor? ||||In their booking listing theu say they have a Restaurant.. It'd a canteen. You get breakfast(maybe) and one selection of dinner) meat, vegataes and potatoes). For 60 Ron. ||I have breast cancer and require a special diet. I guess I starve.... ||Also on the booking website it saysbrhwre is an English speaker. We didn't meet them. ||And it gets worse from here we raised the point that we neither got an English speaker a restaurant. We tried to compromise and get half back on cash and leave early - instead the owner's wifw or mother aggressively actively told us to shut up and go away. It was quite scary. We lefr. And chose to lost the cash.||||I can't recommend this scary place maybe less. Insanely aggressive staff, amenities that don't align with their booking sites. Lying, laughing at us and downright aggressive owners (speak no English BTW, and mock you if you try romania=||Booking should be ashamed to have...

This Pension (B&B) is a gem! Komela and her family are wonderful, enthusiastic hosts who were very excited to welcome us to Magura! Located in a breathtaking location in a national forest, this pension was very modern, clean, and spacious. They provided great meals and a selection of drinks. My wife and I were backpacking across the country and arrived cold, tired, and wet from the rain. Our hosts welcomed us promptly, showed us our room, and deliver our luggage. Though they didn't offer the service, they even went above and beyond by doing laundry for us as an extra bonus when we asked. The rooms had plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. Each room has a large balcony, TV, nice bathroom and ample space. The views from the front patio are astonishing. This was an excellent find and we were very grateful to have stayed here. Strongly recommend to anyone visiting Magura either as a getaway trip, family or friend outing, or to visit the national park!

A beautiful hotel which appeared to have been recently built or refurbished, the place was very well finished. Hosts were brilliant as was the breakfast and dinner. There was no menu, so for dinner we got traditional Romanian pork sausage and chop with cheesy polenta, it was fantastic. The breakfast was again a delicious traditional omlette with a platter of meats and cheeses. Overall this was a brilliant place and great value. Highly recommended

Lovely location on the peripheries of Mǎgura, with a stunning mountain view. Everything is clean and smells really nice. But the most pleasant experience is how welcoming and friendly the staff is. They also cook deliciously, just prepare some space in your stomach for a generous portion and a dessert. One final touch that makes this place stand out is how there’s aloe vera plants everywhere - you can even buy aloe vera drinks at the reception.
