Definitely worth it. The landscape is simply amazing and lived up to our expectations: the colors of the lake were unreal, the view from the top of it gave us a very unique feeling, the extinct vulcano was very interesting to see (and gave us the change to achieve our steps goal for the day - as it is not a very short walk) and also the basalt columns were nice to visit. We stayed several hours as we wanted to enjoy the view (and the silence) and it was very very relaxing. Tips&tricks: • make sure you have some money with you - entrance is payed (20 ron/person); • you can take a blanket with you and enjoy your homemade sandwiches on the route; • make sure you are properly equipped for the entire trip - shoes are very important (the road could have some difficult spots); •don't forget the sunscreen and also, you should have a hat with you. • give yourself time to enjoy everything

You can spend hours walking around the lake, up on the hill to see the sleeping volcano crather.
