Arena Platos — Attraction in Sibiu

It was very crouded but that is something normal for any ski slope area in this country. The kids ski camps really made it lose 20 minutes at least for each climb with ski lifts or bands, which is as well normal. Parking was a nightmare, ariving after 10:30 would ruin the day sometimes, not being able to park and losing a lot of precious time. But it is the same thing as for any crowded place, righ? Normal. Then the endless queues for equipment. But this is also "normal". You then have to pay 35 lei for a sausage and small bread, not to mention all pricess including equipments, climbs, mentor, etc. The smallest amount per half day here is 1000 ron, but it seems to be normal. So we might want to accept all this mentioned above as being normal, for the kid to spend few hours on the slope, out of which 75% of the time is waiting in...

Great slopes, different difficulties for different levels of skiing (kids, beginners or intermediates). This is located 30 minutes from Sibiu town. You can also hire ski and snowboard equipment here for reasonable prices (45 - 60 Ron for full equipment), or you can buy them directly from the Decathlon mini shop. The Apres-ski is awesome, prices are reasonable, you can drink some hot chocolate, tea, or a cold beers for 5 Ron. Also you can choose from a wide variety of sandwiches or grilled meat, prices and quality are reasonable. Bathrooms are clean. And staff is very friendly and helpful. Great place for beginners and kids. The slopes are quite short and light, good for learning. There are also chairlifts and ski lifts. In the weekend it's a bit crowded and you can spend over half an hour standing in line to enter the parking lot. Parking is free from 8 am until 10 pm. The slopes also have night light.
