We wait in line from 9am in the cold weather but then suddenly a big group of people from big red ch country come. They are about 100+ people. The security infront only let 30 people go inside at one time bcz that is how the museum work. The ch people keep cutting the line and having agrument to let their people in first. They didn’t even wait 10 mins in line. So we wait until 12.30 but still unable to go in, it was very very cold and we wait 3 hours+. Very hate it, both security guards and ch people. No manners at all. I don’t understand how the security guard let people from ch tour group go in before us, even russian tourists need to wait and let the ch people cut the line and go in first. We were very cold and disappointed. Hate it here, hate the guards that let the ch people go in, hate the unmannered ch tourists, now i understand why the whole world has bad stereotypes about ch people. Good luck who wants to go, hope you don’t go together at the same time with ch tourists. In the end we wait outside in the Murmansk cold in the middle of winter for 4 hours...
Read moreVery nice place to visit in Murmansk. This ship is the first nuclear icebreaker ship in the world and have lot of historical stories. They will guide you room to room if you visit this place. Maximum per-quota is like 10-12 people only and it cost you around 300Rub/person. They have souvenir shop in the entrance inside the ship, and the price is good. Tour guide will explain everything in detail about the story of the ship and their experience, but they only explain it on Russia (so make sure you bring your Russian speaking friend to translate it for you). The tour will take around 90-120 minutes depend on the tour guide. And they have many interactive room that you can play with, but time is short. You also can take photo and send the photo to your email for free (must try!!) Beside that, make sure you bring jacket/sweater, because temperature is so...
Read moreVery interesting to visit a nuclear ice-breaker from the soviet time. A guided tour will bring you through the main parts of the ship, like for example the nuclear facilities, the engineroom and the bridge. Here information about these places is beeing told, but unfortunately this is (at least in our case) only in Russian. The textual information on board is also available in English though. With all there is to sea, it is a real recommendation to visit the ship when you are in Murmansk. To make the picture complete one could visit Murmansk in winter and see the ship covered in ice, though because of the warm golfstream, the Murmansk harbour, and therefor the Lenin, will stay open and free of ice...
