Giving this a 5 star as I feel it needs a boost up from the terrible score on here which is currently 3.8 stars. Don’t know what all these bad reviewers are whinging about, this is definitely the most beautiful beach in the north of the island in my opinion - way better than Reduit. Just bring a towel or sarong and lie under a palm tree (that’s what I did), you don’t have to pay for chairs it’s up to you. If you get here early it’s super quiet and calm. Much more secluded and private than others in the area. Locals seemed friendly especially one guy (Daddy Skru aka Mr Herb) who comes down with his dogs daily and snorkels to clean any trash from the sea. We had a nice chat and discussed how it’s sad that people chuck trash around the beach on such a beautiful island. Due to this it’s probably more like a 4.5 star due to trash being littered about. I also enjoyed diving off the jetty, schools of fish seem to gather here too. Wouldn’t say it’s the best for snorkelling overall as it’s all sand but by the jetty and close to the rocks you’ll see some wildlife.

The beach located in about 30 minutes drive from the cruise port. To get a taxi is a little complicated, because they are trying to pack a full car (8-10 people) and it takes time. The taxi cost $30 pp for the round trip. The drivers come for you at the set time. The beach is a little dirty, but water is nice and shallow when you get in. Price for 2 chairs and umbrella $30. There are some vendors who are trying to sell you something or give you foot massage, but they are not annoying. Overall it is a nice place to spend a few hrs on the beach. Be aware you can hit the traffic on the way back to the ship, allow extra time for it.

We went here for a day trip, from a cruiser. I would give this beach 5*, if there wouldn’t be jet skis allowed. They are going very fast around so you can not snorkel in peace, you are in constant fear that jet ski will go over you. I don’t know who allowed it, but they should forbid it as soon as possible. Snorkelling: If we forget about jet skis, you might see plenty of different small fish and some corals. It is very beautiful and I recommend it.

They take care of you which is to say they won't leave you alone, they wanted $20 before we even sat down - someone else starts panhandling you at the same time weaving something out of grass that you never asked for. There was a family sitting next to us that said they had been harassed all day, they instructed us just to say that we were fine and didn't need anything, otherwise they will just keep returning trying to extort more money from you - also they charge you to use the bathroom. All the other beaches we visited on our trip were not like this at all - unless you like the attention select...
