I visited the Qaisariya Al-Ahsa Souq recently and was very impressed with its size and atmosphere. The market is divided into several sections, each specializing in a different type of goods. I found everything from traditional abayas and perfumes to souvenirs and housewares.

It is a historic market located in the Al-Rafa'ah district in Al-Ahsa, east of Saudi Arabia. It is one of the oldest and largest souks in the region, and is known for its wide variety of traditional goods, including jewelry, handicrafts, textiles, spices, dried fruits, and tea.

The vendors at the souq were very friendly and welcoming. They were happy to answer my questions and help me find what I was looking for. I also appreciated the fact that the souq was clean and well-maintained.

Overall, I had a great experience at Qaisariya Al-Ahsa Souq. It is a must-visit for anyone interested in learning about traditional Saudi Arabian culture and shopping for unique souvenirs.

Here are some of the things I liked about the souq:

The wide variety of goods available The friendly and welcoming vendors The clean and well-maintained environment The historical significance of the souq I would definitely recommend Qaisariya Al-Ahsa Souq to anyone visiting Al-Ahsa. It is a great place to learn about the region's culture and to find unique souvenirs.

Here are some tips for visiting the souq:

Wear comfortable shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking. Bring cash as many vendors do not accept credit cards. Be prepared to bargain. This is a traditional part of shopping in the souq. Take your time and explore all the different sections...

Qaisariah, means a collection of shops in Arabic and Souq means market in Arabic. Qaisariyah in Al Hofuf is a monument in this old city. It is similar to Hamidiyah in Damascus and other Bazaars in old Mideastern towns. Al Hofuf is a very old town that existed for at least 3000 years as the main town in AlHasa Oasis, that is the largest oasis in Arabian Peninsula. Qaisariyah was built several hundred years ago. It was the central market for permanent type of goods in the area. Agricultural products have different markets that are organized on a day of the week basis and spread among the major towns in AlHasa. In Qaisariah goods sold include clothes, traditional medicine, watches and antique goods. There is a section for cotton style furniture and carpeting, and another section for brass and metal tools and utensils. Metal tools include those used for trimming and replanting palm trees. Their are also several shops that sells dried food and spices including locally planted brown rice and raw and roasted coffee. Through history, Qaisariah suffered several fires that burnt a portion of it aided by the existing of a wooden ceiling. The worst fire happened in 2008 and led to the demolishing of the whole place...

An iconic bazaar in the lovely city Alhassa. Many shops to buy clothes, spices and perfumes. A must to visit in Alhassa tour, for shopping and enjoying the traditional-style design for one of the oldest markets in the region, that was built in 1822 AD-1238 AH, and was recently renovated. The Qaisariah souq is one of the most famous historical markets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, rich in historical sites including palaces, towers, mosques and traditional markets. The Qaisariah souq consists of more than 422 shops and is distinguished by its architectural designs of closed corridors and elevated roofing. This offers the visitors good ventilation and natural light while walking in the market, and enables them to have a better grasp of the ancient heritage of the Eastern Province.

It is a very expensive Market if you are planning to buy some gold then it is not a good place they charge you more than 360SAR for 1gm of gold of 21k but the price of the gold would be around 271 SAR for 21k gold. I would rather suggest going to gold outlets such as Malabar where you could get one price across the kingdom and they usually give discounts on making charges too, so if you are a first time gold buyer then buy from such outlets. The souq is most probably the place for chilling out rather than shopping. PRO TIP:- if you are looking to buy some abayas then buy from the shop on the side of the road rather than the backyard shops as the price they offer in the front row shops are usually fixed and are kept according to the quality of the material.
