Museum of Ponišavlje — Attraction in City of Pirot

A place to visit in any case preferably on the first day.

Interesting history presented by the museum guide that gives a lot of info about the area with picturesque stories about little Rista (once owner f the house) and his way of handling with the Turkish authorities and by telling the story of various rooms and things exhibited in the house.

A well preserved house of what used to be old pan family home. It is a witness of the amount of influence both Byzantine and Ottoman empire had on this region for well over 1600 years during the enslavement of the Balkans. There are hints of Islamic Azerbaijani culture too, mostly musical instruments and decour. Well preserved, now giving tour guides for tourists.
