Feeling like exploring Beau Vallon without hiring a car? A gem (Small) beach north of main beach is accessible by foot or taking bus 22 (sometimes route 20) from the main street opp Boat Bar / restaurant. Basically walk north of Boat Bar towards Baobab pizza place (on your left, stopping for a picture of the palm trees shadows on the stream) then head up the road, you will see the sign to Soleil Beach. You can park along the road or, drive down the slope and the road ends under the tree canopy). Feels eery but as far as I know is safe there. To get to the beach you walk over some slabs of stone or bricks. The beach is small, sheltered, and has a Hut selling some drinks and maybe the grilled fish. Meeting the owner, a lad from the UK be talks of making this stretch of beach a haven of peace and tranquility. Nice fella. (however ask the locals if the beach is open. November saw a lot of rain and winds, and my visit I saw a place a bit uprooted by the weather. I hope he was able to repair it. If so, enjoy. And catch the bus back to...

The gorgeous colours of the beach surface and the ocean itself make Anse Soleil a truly picturesque prospect.

is a beautiful, bright bay with gorgeous golden sand and turquoise-blue water. Thanks in part to its close proximity to some accommodations, Anse Soleil is relatively popular amongst tourists, and there are usually at least a few people here enjoying the sand and the scenery. This is by no means a bad thing, however, and there is always enough space on the beach for everyone to find their own little spot to enjoy. For those who aren’t staying nearby, arrival at Anse Soleil is not quite as simple, but far from difficult thanks to the nearby bus stop (about 200m from the beach), as well as the limited parking spaces available next to the beach and the...

The place is very beautiful, sandy beach and incredible sunset. Drinks are good. Food is really so-so and scarce. Bartenders are friendly. The worst is that is too expensive and the exchange rate if you pay in euros if a theft. A meal that would cost 100€ they charge you 125€ with the wrong exchange rate. As long as you do not eat and pay with SCR is a great spot. Otherwise is not worth it. You try to make them see that their xrate is totally wrong but no way. And when you complain the management is not there. Pity. Is one of the greatest spots in the north of the island... they should improve...

Awesome beach and bar to spend some quality time. The bartender is very friendly and has good music playing. You also have the option to rent clear kayaks to check out L'ilot (the small island nearby). It is not very touristy, so it is perfect to get away from crowds. There are a few friendly and cute canine and feline neighbors that like to come by the beach to get pets from strangers. Enough shade and trees around, so you don't have to bring an umbrella. They don't take credit cards, so make sure you bring cash. We were allowed to pay in USD, and I think they might accept euros as well. 100% recommended.
