Pre order a cake with birthday message for my wife two weeks before actual day. On day of collection, the cake shop totally did not prepared the cake for collection. In the end the shop just give me any cake they have on hand with a generic message. Very unprofessional for a cake shop which is supposed to make a birthday event special. They totally ruined the event with a reply “my manager will follow up through email”. Never buy a cake from this shop because they will ruined the event by not delivering the cake!!

Tried their Mother’s Day cake before in a previous year and was rly impressed. Decided to try their Pistachio Praline cake for my birthday this year. Did not disappoint at all!!!!

The cake itself was moist enough, and the pistachio cream was fragrant yet light and not gelat. Overall, the cake was not too sweet either. The most unique part was the crunchy pistachio feuilletine, a crunchy pistachio layer at the bottom. Rly added a different texture / nice crunch to the whole cake, plus a burst of pistachio taste from the real nut itself.

Super impressed!!! Plus, they managed to get the approval of my whole family who are pretty picky eaters / non-cake lovers and always have some kind of comments on food. Deserves a 6/5!!! Need to try another flavor...

Purchased black sesame, chocolate mascarpone and white peach kinkan. Favourite was the black sesame which had a smoky aroma of roasted sesame. Most of the black sesame flavour was in the cream layer with bits of it embedded within the cake which gave it a unique texture. Would be even better if the black sesame flavour was more intense. White peach has a delicate taste and not too sweet. Well balanced by the addition of yuzu. Chocolate is somewhat of a disappointment. Cream layer reminded me of milk chocolate and overall it was too sweet for my taste. Couldn't detect the mascarpone. The cakes have a soft and airy quality in general.
