"Their reception service hardly lives up to the 'premier' label." We arrived at the property around 10:00 PM on 17 October, carrying backpacks both front and back. Despite our visible presence, we were completely ignored—no greeting, no eye contact—from the two female receptionists on duty. Eventually I initiated contact by asking, “So whom shall I approach?” Only then did the Chinese receptionist acknowledge us. Meanwhile, the Indian receptionist distanced herself to the far end of the desk, displaying a lack of hospitality that made us feel unwelcome. It is deeply disappointing when frontline staff fail to uphold the standards of their profession. Such conduct not only reflects poorly on the establishment but also undermines the values of service and respect. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve future guest experiences. On a positive note, I wish to commend the housekeeping team and the Malay receptionist who assisted us with our luggage during checkout. Her attentiveness and warmth toward guests were exemplary and deserving of five stars. Unfortunately, the overall reception experience diminished the impression they worked hard to uphold. The room itself was thoughtfully designed for short stays. However, it would benefit from added privacy features such as curtains or frosted film on the large windows—especially helpful in the morning—and attention to plumbing, as the basin’s wastewater discharge was not functioning optimally. Due to Diwali holidays, we noticed an increased presence of migrant workers and transport vehicles in the area. They were often in large groups but were respectful and did not disturb tourists. As always, applying common sense and mutual respect goes a long way. We also recommend exploring the nearby Airport Gateway and the scenic Geylang River walks—they’re well...

This has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The room was so musty and malodorous we could hardly sleep. The moment we walked in to the room we were bombarded with the smell of mold and mildew. We went straight for the windows to air out the room, and found to our chagrin, the windows don't operate. As we arrived after midnight, we tried our best to overcome the stench. We cranked up the AC to max, and tried to sleep. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, but surprisingly clean. We woke the following morning to other guests going about their business, there wasn't much in the way of sound dampening in the room, though not the loudest room I've ever been in. We started searching on their terribly slow Wi-Fi for another hotel, and decided to get ready. Getting up we go to the shower to find no shower curtain. Upon asking the front desk for a curtain, we were informed that they don't supply them. Irritable from a restless sleep, and the horrendous smell still assaulting us, we decided to take a shower without. The hot water lasted only briefly, which in an open shower, with the AC on high, meant no fooling around. Wash up and jump out. Many things were in a state of disrepair, the bedroom light was falling out of the ceiling, the bathroom ceiling was cracking, mold was everywhere, the tub had holes in it, and the air filter looked like it had never been changed the entire time the facility has been operational. The only saving grace to this room, was the relatively cheap price at $30/night - but I feel it should have been half that for the condition of it, assuming you don't fall ill. I've been in...
Read moreThe hotel is located on a quiet street. There's a laundromat right across which came in handy for us as we were bouncing between countries. It's about a 10min walk to Aljunied station. Though the area is a red light district, we never felt uncomfortable. The area is known for lots of good places to eat. The hotel itself is a budget hotel so we didn't expect very much. The counter was nice enough to let us check in very early. As per the other reviews, the shower glass is tiny and water will spill over everywhere so must get creative. The toilet is rather tall! That was a bit uncomfortable. The toilet paper is Kleenex tissue, not a toilet roll so that was a bit awkward. Our room in particular had some debris on the floor and mysterious water droplets. The bedding also had slight stains and unfortunately the room smelt of cigarettes. It was also our first time discovering a used sanitary pad in the toilet bin. Housekeeping came up right away and changed the sheets in record time. An air purifier was also given. My only qualm was that the cleaning was done so fast with shoes on and there were no slippers provided. We don't wear shoes indoors. The air purifier was collected at 11pm when we were getting ready for bed and the door sign was on DND. There seemed to be housekeeping coming into the room everyday. Not sure if it was to mitigate the issues of our room or if it's a miscommunication with hotel staff as housekeeping was said to be every two days. All in all, it wasn't a terrible stay! Just think hygiene and contact hours could be better. Good...
