Forgotten by Nparks?
A whole troop of at least 10 mosquitoes descended upon me when I stopped under the tree outside the restroom area for a quick stretch - and followed me relentlessly even as I moved at least 10 metres away. Reported this to NEA who responded and claimed to have removed the breeding source. Let's see if the situation improves thereafter in this small park, a situation I don't encounter in the other nature parks in Singapore eg. Macritchie, rail corridor etc.
Broken fixtures eg broken/ missing wooden panels can be seen all around the park which is centred around a lake filled with unsightly brown coloured water - the feeling one gets is that the place has been forgotten and forsaken by the relevant authorities after welcoming it with great fanfare a few years ago.

When I went there around there was hardly anyone in the evening. If you are someone looking for a less crowded area, this could be an option. There are water fountains and washroom. Next to it is the Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle. For evenings, it would be helpful is you carry an insect repellent spray or something of that sort. Also, good to carry some light snacks if you plan to take time out there. However, the nearest bus stop is far and would be about 1 km. Some of the views in the park is very scenic, especially the small creek. But it is a small one, so one can easily cover it quickly, unless one plans to explore the...
