Dishonest Vietnamese who claimed that she has been here for so long and that discount from package will not be applied if the amount spent is more than balance in package before discount. Sister and I return to utilise balance from package and it has been awhile due to covid (of course we will be mindful about hygiene). $123 is just good for 2 person’s classic gel mani n pedi however, we were seated apart and sister was upsell with additional sea salt + French tip + quick dry coat which sneakily adds up to higher cost. Had the discount be applied our service will be $113, which with $123 we could still have $10 balance for future package continuation. It come to a shock that we need to further topup with another $388 to enjoy the discount from our EXISTING PACKAGE. We end up paying $136, emptying $123 balance WITHOUT DISCOUNT plus $13 cash. Boss of Lily nails, it’s extremely rude and discomfort by this Vietnam girl, to out loud trying to shame us infront of other customers and manicurists to continue the package. She puts up a “I’m here for 4years” blahblahblah. Hello?~ From what we know and visited this place since many years back, Ah-Ying was the longest service lady with great skills and humble too thus we continue package with your shop. The other lady who just returned from China did great too, my nails are still well wrapped after 3 weeks with cleaned cuticles. A pity for our return experience to be spoil by a rowdy loud Vietnamese. And it was very rude of her to put other shops’ fellow Vietnamese down and gossip about them, while doing my sister’s nails. My sister had to request for her to sanitize her hands when she don’t have the decency to do so after sneezing out. She even rebuked back that she did ART weekly. 🙄 We don’t have to talk to humans who barked, so we end up deducting full price without discount from balance, discontinue with no more package, and leave your shop thereafter. Don’t try to act smart and act like a good salesperson and put all sales talk to us. Your insincerity and rudeness is definitely a put off, affecting all other manicurists’ hard work. Oh ya. And everyone’s feet will forever be with “fungus infection” and will need to drop medicated solution to it else won’t recover n spread to rest of nails. Please la. I bought before n fungus nail is still fungus for years. Other nails were fine.

I have really dry and calloused feet, so I was hesitant to go into any nail salons and often settled with temporary measures on my own. One week ago, I was walking around Bugis Street and wanted to visit one to have my nails better-looking for cny. Weiwei from Lily Nails Salon was friendly, she saw the condition of my feet but did not charge me extra for exfoliation. To be very honest, it wasn't quite an enjoyable process, with times of "feeling rather unsettling". Not sure if it was more than the usual of preparation for my feet before the pedicure. Anyway, I managed to chat abit with her and got to know her shop was one of the very first shops around. (There's many other shops in the vicinity doing the same services) Nonetheless, I had an overall okay experience doing my nails at her salon. Weiwei was professional and efficient in cleaning the cuticles, removing callouses as much as she could and doing up nails. (Thus 4 stars given, with 1 star left for improvement of service) I did a classic gel manicure and pedicure, pictures shown one week after visitation. Paid $98 in total, including cny surcharge. (Pardon the condition of my feet)

I’ve been with Lily Nails since 2020, and the truth is that the quality really depends on who your nail artist is. If you do walk in (which I usually do), it’s quite bit and miss. As we can tell - my nails weren’t dried properly in my latest session and the 4th toe came out. The hand is great but some got on the skin. Tbh can’t rly complain for price but i’ve gotten better sessions. The best artist is Ah Ying - not sure if i got her name right. it that’s what colleagues call her. She’s super efficient and fast. They’re not always at the shop so if you want a certain manicurist you need to tell them in advance. Had an experience with the male manicurist today and he seems very meticulous. There’s a lady with a brown bangle and a braid necklace - she’s okay too. Generally I’d recommend Classic Gel for both mani pedi because the price now is $58 iirc. It’s $10 or $12 for a layer of hardener.

BEWARE: This shop is dishonest about their packages and discounts. Was scammed.

Purchased a package from them so that i could get 20% off with every purchase. However, this time i was left with $130 in my account and my expenditure today amounted to $158 (before the discount and would be $126.4 after discount). The ladies there refused to give me the promised 20% discount, apparently because my pre-discounted expenditure exceeded the total amount of money i had in my account. As such, instead of paying $126.40 for my mani and pedi, they deducted $130 from my account and charged me $28 in cash because i did not want to top up my account again.

This is ridiculous. They should have given me the discount because that was the only reason I had signed on for their package which cost $388 in the first place.

Honestly, it felt as though i got scammed of my $28 just because i didn't want to top up my account at that point of time. It was a painfully blatant attempt in coaxing money out of my pockets. Obviously, after this incident, I will not be patronising this store anymore.

If you're planning on signing up for their package anyway, i would suggest that you strategise a little beforehand such that your expenditure never exceeds that of your account balance lol.

Also, their service isnt exceptionally amazing either. When we first arrived, they kinda ignored us until their boss rushed them along. They tried to hardsell me a $45 bottle of medicine for toe fungus. When i made it known that i would only top up my account on the next visit, the lady changed her tone and threw the tablet to her colleague and did not want to serve me.

There are many other nail salons around them anyway, would rather patronise those stalls instead.

TLDR: did not want to give me a discount even though i paid $388 for their package which was supposed to entitle me to a 20% discount....

Not a pleasant experience. Regretted for signing up package there.

Returned there for the last time to clear the balance of credit left.

In the whole process of pedicure and medicure, the two staff serving me were chit chatting, making fun of the customer who has left, talking about their colleague's bf, questioning their colleague for making late appointment that delayed their time to end work, etc while making my nails. In the midst of when they were so occupied with their conversation, one of them accidentally cut the skin of my finger, then told me my skin was too thin that's why. She then rub the part with alcohol wipes- it's sore okay.

Upon payment, the staff was checking the Ipad to see my credit balance. I requested to just take a look at the balance (as I never receive any notification of credit deducted, or balance of credit left after the past few visits as proof). But the lady was holding on to the Ipad and refused to show me. She just read out the balance of credit left. I don't even know if what she read is true.

The total I spent was more than the credit balance left. She suggested me to keep the credit balance for next time use, as the credit balance is insufficient for the total spent which I won't get to enjoy the member discount. I told her that's fine and I will just use up the credit balance and pay cash for the total even if there's no member discount.

What's the point of keeping if this is the kind of service?

Lastly, there's a twenty cent credit balance left, and she told me that's扣不了的. I don't understand why, this is still consider my store credit no? I decided not to ask cox I really can't wait to...
