MacPherson Community Club — Attraction in Singapore

On 14-Sep, 2023. I had went MacPherson Community Club 1.00pm during my lunch by taxi. On my way,movement at PIE was slow moving. I reached at around 1.40pm. I wanted to reset and activated my Singpass there. I had been told by one lady, Office Assistant who wore light green blouse and long dark pant. She had informed me, the Counter Staff was alone on duty, her colleague did not turn up on that day. The Counter Staff was on her lunch break. Suddenly, the Counter Staff returned, she had short hair and bespectacled lady wearing red polo tee shirt. She looked grumpy and tired. Earlier, that a man wearing black tee-shirt sitting, waiting to be served. After she had attended the need of the customer. I told her and Office Assistant, I stay at this "Kampong" and hope to get served by my kampong guys. Time is short and I had to return to office by 2.00pm. Then, the grumpy lady, helped me she updated my Singpass. After obtaining Singpass, the office assistant had assisted me, by activating my mobile. Finally my Singpass problem solved. They have help me, beyond their personal matters. I am grateful of their assistance. Now, I knew the MacPherson Community Club staff are helpful and good hearted people. The taxi driver, Mr. Bala who waiting for me more 15 minutes, I also would thank him, though I reached late 20minutes, later. A large multi-purpose hall that doubles up as badminton courts and for table tennis. One of the courts may be booked online and the other for walk-in bookings only. Beside this hall is an airy basketball court. To quench your thirst after a vigorous game of badminton there is a water cooler outside the hall. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are also available, together with a newspaper corner that is well ventilated. If you need to pay your bills (utilities, credit card, etc) there is an AXS terminal next to the vending machine and AED box. The Community Club is closed on public holidays....

It has great facilities, but the badminton courts are often block booked for rain contingencies. I've went down a few times to note that the courts aren't utilised at all. Managed to book the court three times but on one occasion, they fogged the entire court but did not clean up after, leaving the court floors covered with a layer of pesticide and was too slippery for my game. The CC managed to get a cleaner to clean up after, but by then, 45 minutes was gone.
