Update - 18 Apr 2024: I'm very surprised with Artground's initiative of a full refund made to us for our unpleasant experience. I'm very heartened by their prompt reaction and efforts to improve internally. I hope others will have much positive experience in future.
Original Post - 17 Apr 2024: Play facility is rather small, 1 hour is more than enough for young children (aged 2-3 years old), thus 2 star rating.
Took away 3 stars because the booking processing and their timing is relatively 'crazy' in the sense that: 1. No walk-ins allowed, 2. Upon initial WhatsApp Inquiry, texted me saying area is free play, 3. When trying to book, got notified that $5 entry fee required, etc. 4. Event schedule is not well organised, e.g. asked us to let our child go for (paid) exploratory play at 10:45 am, place closed for sanitization at 12pm - 2pm, then event workshop is at 2:45pm. 5. Told us the day we would like to book is fully open but can give 0 assistance in helping to make booking. 6. Only advice (each response can expect 2-3 days' wait) upon hitting each hurdle. 7. Portal does not allow multiple bookings without creation of each child profile, yet did not state so when giving instructions on making bookings. 8. Impossible to make class bookings if you'd like to organise playdates for your child and friends.
I had a very difficult and negative time and wasted "tickets" as I was told I can make multiple purchases but end up couldn't and I can only utilise partial of my tickets 3 out of 5 purchased).
They assume everyone will loiter there full day for their workshop?! Super unhelpful administration and I think Singapore's art scene will die relatively soon with these kind of people / management. Not ever recommending to others nor attending every again, not even for any free events. They feel that everyone should revolve around their schedule and fail to take into consideration children's needs...
Read moreHad a great experience at Artground Goodman Art Centre, so we decided to visit the newly launched space at OHV.
It is much smaller and does not seem to have themes like GAC. But it is still a wonderfully curated play space for kids of different age ranges.
My 2 year old enjoyed the treehouse slide, climbing in and out of the main play structure, and playing with the other toys available.
My main issue is not with the place, but with entitled parents. There is ample furniture for parents/caregivers to sit on, but I cannot understand why some insist on sitting within the play areas and using their mobile devices. We experienced an entitled parent sitting on the foam stacking blocks, so our and other kids could not play. Even when being told to move, we were met with a blank stare. Another mother was trying to put her infant in a carrier to sleep and got annoyed at other kids entering that particular play space. Very strange behavior to me as there is a really nice baby care room on premise.
The staff are very nice and probably need to be given the green light by their management team to put a stop to...
Read moreI don't recommend this place for a toddler , there is no toddler designated area even when advertised . My son is a year old and it seems most kids during our session was about 4-7 years old . Our son isn't able to walk yet . Considering our son is like an infant as he can't walk yet , this place is not really safe for him to play . The big kids are owning the area and the parents are not moderating their children properly , which got me annoyed to be honest. Not really much things to do , at his age , the slide also is not made of plastic , it's wooden and hard .
In summary - Not safe for infant 1 years old and can't walk yet
no toddler /crawling designated play area for children at this age/category
big kids running around is too dangerous , not sharing toys or play things
-Dangerous wooden slide and wooden base frame , toad stool is hard as well
Overall it's alright for bigger kids hence 3/5 experience.
Just my feedback , for bigger kids I would rate...
