Chalet we visited many times - mostly as a starting point for wonderful hikes in Furkotská and Mlýnická Valley or climb the montain Přední Solisko. Once we were there in the morning on Christmas Eve. Members of the Mountain Rescue Service came to greet the beloved logger. Scent of Christmas cookies, Christmas tree and not the overall atmosphere was amazing. ||The cottage is easily accessible from the hotel FIS Štrbské pleso by chair lift Solisko Express. If the lift is out of order, you will get to a mountain hut only by foot about 1 hour 20 minutes (follow blue signs).||Already at the upper cable car station we can notice the sign on a variety of Slovak dishes in the restaurant. There is usually a lot of visitors, and in good weather you can sit on the sun terrace with views of the Pleso, Kriváň and the Low Tatras. ||During our tours we are usually opened the restaurant, which has a typical alpine atmosphere, cozy wooden equipment in mountain style dining room with a ski theme. Atmosphere through the details such as kerosene articulated with saving lamps, packaged sugar with a picture of the cottage, tasteful wooden tables, and live flowers in the windows. The morning before we hike, a traditional tea with rum plus steamed buns with cream and forest fruit. Very encouraging!||The last time we had lunch here while returning from the Přední Solisko - cabbage soup, beef goulash and beer on tap. Prices were slightly high altitude, the food was good, the atmosphere was excellent. Just romance amid the rugged Tatra nature. ||We were interested also accommodation possibilities: Chalet offers 1 bedroom with 8 beds (classification: tourist residence) . In case bedroom is fully occupied, they do offer a provisional overnight stay on the dining room floor in your own sleeping bag. Hotel guests is available only a small sink and toilet. Simply a mountain hut for climbers and hikers. ||||I highly recommend a visit and even less a skilled...

Read moreCannot recommend this place more! The location and views are unbeatable, the staff are super helpful, and we had the most stunning hike on the slopes.
The cheaper option is sleeping on mattresses on tables - it may seem weird at first, but after a day of hiking, it was the coziest, most inviting experience. We slept so well!
Heads up! The ski lift closes at 3pm during summer, so you'll need to hike up to the cabin after that. The route is right under the ski lift. Don’t follow Google Maps! It led us on the wrong route and we got a bit lost (so embarrassing!), but the staff were great and showed us another route via WhatsApp.
The restaurant is pricey, but it makes sense since it’s the only restaurant/bar at the top of the ski lift. We decided to treated ourselves on food and drinks because we saved so much on accommodation!
Thanks for the most awesome...
