Ružbašský kráter — Attraction in Vyšné Ružbachy

I recently visited the Crater in Vysne Ruzbachy with a group of friends, and we had a fantastic time! The Crater is a natural geothermal pool, and it's an ideal destination for groups who want to enjoy swimming in natural thermal water.

We went for a night swimming session, and the experience was truly magical. The Crater was completely empty at that time, which allowed us to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and stunning surroundings without any distractions. The water was warm and refreshing, and we felt completely rejuvenated after our swim. Additionally, we were lucky enough to see the beautiful stars in the sky, which added to the already amazing experience.

Another great thing about the Crater is that we didn't have any trouble with parking. There was plenty of space available, and we didn't have to worry about finding a spot for our cars.

Unikátne travertínové jazierko v tvare krátera, ktoré vzniklo prepadávaním travertínovej kopy, ktorá sa časom naplnila minerálnou vodou. Má viac-menej kruhový tvar s priemerom približne 20 m a patrí medzi najznámejšie a najväčšie travertínové krátery na Slovensku. Nachádza sa v areáli kúpeľov Vyšné Ružbachy. Kráter ma teplotu vody 24°C. Od roku 1967 je zaradený medzi chránené prírodné útvary Slovenska. Kráter nezamŕza ani v zimných mesiacoch a to vďaka plynom oxidu uhličitého, ktorý sa dostáva do vody cez trhliny na dne. Travertínové jazero napája prameň s výdatnosťou približne 8 litrov za sekundu.
