A truly majestic place. I took a cablecar to Skalnata Pleso. It was around 20 euros (if I remember right), but well worth it. Or alternatively you can take around 6km (on the map) hike to it. From here you can take a cablecar to Skalnata stit or sedlo, but I myself did not try these. Or you can hike to Velka Svistovka. I did this one and enjoyed every step. It's not physically hard as long as you're stable on your feet as a large part of the path is just stepping from one boulder to another. But be aware that some boulder may slightly move. I had so much fun there that I felt like a super goat-man and starter galloping from one rock to another and sprained my ankle. Still, it was fun. Or you can take the easier path left to Stary Smokovec and take the train back to Vysokie Tatry. This trail is also beautiful with all of it's rivers and waterfalls. I recommend visiting this place. Whether you take cablecar to Skaltana Pleso and back or take any hiking route through here, it's still...

One of the most beautiful sceneries of Eastern Europe, both in the winter and the summer. You can enjoy sunshine at outside tables, grab a bite or drink in one of the 4 restaurants. Large piste and trail maps are available and trails are well signposted. Please note that in the winter, many trails are closed. For cable car trips to the Lomnici Peak, reserve in advance in peak season and the recommended timing is going as early in the day as possible. Bring your printed reservation with you, the GoPass card is not enough...

The slopes are little bit slow and easy. Great for beginners, but if you want to have some more fun, you need to go higher. In the end, everyone goes higher. The black rated slope at the most top is great, even more when there is a clear sky. Great photos can be taken there. The slope is little bit tough, but its black either way. The little fun park for sky and snowboard is located here as well, but dont expect something huge. The cabincars are little bit slow, but thats expected in this region. Overall...

Went there during summer holidays but weekdays. Still many people. Took at least 2.5h to get a ticket and board the cable car. The lower cable car is quite old and only seats 4 people... therefore it takes really long time to get the masses up. The second cable car seats minimum 8 people. Somehow it doesn't make sense. The lake at the middle station is nice to look at but nothing too special, a lot of people even on a weekday. OK to experience once but that's it.
