Lovely mountain cottage with a history. The owner and manager Ladislav Kulanga is a legent in High Tatras. With his son they rebuild the cottage. They love theirs visitors, its different contact with mountain people, they are straight and open. When not ver busy they love to talk to people and listen to their stories. You coming there like to visiting a friend. Ladislav Kulanga is a records holder in carrying the load of food and drinks from the town bellow up to different mountain cottages .For example he carried 187kg load from Tatranska Lomnica to Skalnate pleso. The worst place we've been to in the Tatra mountains! The smell there was disgusting and the tables were sticky. We went there with a 10 month daughter and were asked to leave by the person working there when we wanted to prepare baby food for her so that she could eat with us. We were told only food purchased in the restaurant could be eaten there. What a shame! We were looking forward to seeing the place and we left it so disappointed by the arrogance and rudeness we encountered. Fortunately a few metres futher there is another place you can relax, buy something to eat and drink and use hot water to prepare...

Incredible location and nice old-fashioned design make this mountain hut truly exceptional. Their menu is limited, cheap and basically OK. I shall have any of the soups next time. Draught Urpiner is pretty good as well... again taking into account magnificent views! When we stopped there, hut suffered with truly epic understaffing.
