Belokranjski muzej se nahaja v Metliki in sicer na gradu, kjer se tekom poletja odvijajo tudi glasbene prireditve. Muzej je odličen, prav tako pohvalim kustosa, ki nas je osebno pospremil, nam ponudil možnost ogleda filmčka o Beli krajini ter nam odgovoril na vsa naša vprašanja. Družinska karta stane 10€. Na ogledu je prikaz prazgodovinskih najdbišč pa vse do opisov dogajanja v 2. sv vojni, za kar planirajte cca 2h. Trenutno se ureja zunanjost za gradom. V neposredni bližini je tudi Gasilski muzej. Priporočam, da si muzej ogledate ob pričetku vašega letovanja, saj vam bo dal navdih za še kakšen ogled v okolici. Npr. zunanji ogled vojaškega letala Dakota iz 2.sv....

4,5 Sterne! Wir waren auf der Durchreise und sind ca. 1 h durch das schöne Schloss gelaufen. Dort waren, hauptsächlich im Innenhof, Bauarbeiten. Deswegen hatte auch das Restaurant, in dem man auch Weinproben machen kann, geschlossen. Für eine kleine Gebühr wurde und ein Informationsfilm über die Region und ihre Geschichte, sowie die archäologischen Ausgrabungen gezeigt. Sogar auf deutsch. Das wurde von der Kassendame eingestellt. Anschließend ging es durch das Museum. Sehr nett gemacht. Es gibt auch viele Dinge zum anfassen für Kinder. Ich kann es wirklich empfehlen.
