Great place to take tourists and school groups to see the cultural side of Cape Town and how the City of Cape Town is trying to improve the challenges in township communities. This community, Langa, has high unemployment and this centre was built by the city but is run by the community. People can be trained in short courses to assist them to place bread on the table. Some of the courses are: pottery, picture framing, mosiac making and welding & metal work. Most of the courses are offered by volunteers and are free to the community. He gives a very detailed explanation of the timeline. There are beautiful art and crafts stores around. The place is absolutely safe and beautiful.
