The Journey can't End soon enough for these horrible people! Have you ever made an appointment for a wine tasting well in advance, driven an hour to arrive at the winery right on time, only to be told by one of the owners upon arriving at the "tasting room" that, while they recalled making our appointment, no tasting was possible? Hard to believe, right? Well, that's exactly what happened to our party at Journey's End Vineyards. There was no apology, no excuse given, but we were told that "we can sell you some wines if you want," as if anyone travels to a winery to buy wines they are unable to taste. Why go to the winery at all?
The wine business is tough enough without treating visitors in this fashion. Oh, and if you aren't discouraged enough to avoid visiting this sorry place, be aware that unless you have an all terrain vehicle. your car will surely be damaged driving three kilometers over impossibly pot-holed unpaved dirt roads to arrive there.
So one can only hope the despicable Gabb family that own this awful excuse for a winery exits the wine business promptly, that someone with an ounce of judgment and humanity takes over, paves the road leading to the winery, and then treats visitors as if they are actually happy to receive them. Wouldn't that be a welcome...
