I think one of the greatest positives about this place is that it is absolutely stunning. It has great views, a very huge conference room and very roomie accommodation suites for quite a number of people for almost any occasion.

Sadly, the management of this place has definitely let this place down on so many levels.

I arrived to check in at 7 PM just to find that there is nobody senior on the property to accommodate me Besides, a friendly security guard who was given a list to follow with no names or specifications. At around 10 PM (on our own accord, not the property), we were shown to our rooms and shortly after told to move different rooms because he had made mistakes on whose room was whose. Clearly, not his fault, he is following a vague checklist.

Given the lack of help for checking in, checking out had not been communicated, a group of ladies-of whom it is assumed they work at Louisville but no formal introduction given- had card machines pretty much forcing us to pay on the spot. They ambushed the bride with a defense of trying to mitigate the situation and had no choice because their apparent point of contact was not answering them. I settled the situation to request that I would be their new point of contact once we got the bride down the aisle. Mind you, we had not packed anything in our rooms. We still looked like we were living in with no intent of running away.

For some weddings, unfortunately, you have unexpected guests and we needed an extra table of which a card machine quickly arrived for us to pay for. FINE. 15 to 20 minutes wait without assurance, I was sent from pillar to post just to be told that they were still busy with it. I pushed for answered and they took me to where they were arranging the tables, and to my surprise, it was ONE gentleman sorting out TWO MASSIVE tables AND TWENTY FOUR chairs BY HIMSELF. I got some reinforcements to help this go faster as it was UNACCEPTABLE and was lagging unnecessary. The waitresses helped, but they couldn't carry all that to the venue...

Lastly, even more disappointingly, we had over 300 guests at this wedding, and they only had THREE waitresses to work the evening with an alleged excuse of four girls called in sick?! I mean, you have a student residence next door, and at most times, students love to a little bit of cash, but outsourcing, caling in a friend, ask for a favor... ANYTHING COULD HAVE BE DONE TO MANAGE IT BETTER ESPECIALLY FOR A SERVICE PAID FOR. At the end of it all, still no visible manager in site to assist with questions, queries, concerns, or even compliments.

We got out of the the next morning quicker than the sunlight came out so that we didn't have to deal with another ambush of card machines. Cold showers, no change of towels, no room service, AND NO WIFI are just a few of the other issues we had.😪

PLEASE GET BETTER MANAGEMENT FOR THIS PLACE. IT DESERVES TO BE...

Terrible venue, I will never recommend it to anyone specially on events like weddings. We paid so much to receive poor service. We knew from the start (November 2022) when we met the staff from the venue that there was no structure in place compared to other venues and we hoped that they would have improved by the time of our wedding (August 2023) , but that was the biggest mistake of our lives. We paid overall close to R100k which was only for the venue (reception and blessing area), 4 waiters, 3 ushers,… by the way that amount excludes chairs, tables, cutleries… On the day of the wedding only one usher pitched and that created chaos at our reception cuz people didn’t know where to seat and on top of that we had to pay an extra R4900 for an additional table which resulted from the poor service level. We asked at least be refunded for the two ushers that didn’t pitch cuz we paid R1200 per ushers… and till today we are being ignored. The wedding coordinator (or facilitator as she called herself )from the venue who was supposed to be present from morning only pitched at 10pm … Some rooms didn’t have to towels , other no bed cover and the price was ‘R970 room for two and on top of that cold water, no wifi. We tried to explain to the owner who was not present on the day , our bad experience to help him see where he can improve and to get refunded where possible . The absolute worst service! My friends got married there last month and ended up with most guests coming for the ceremony, we had to ask some of the guests and family members to help carry extra chairs from the venue for people to sit on and then take them back because the staff at the venue refused to help. As if thay wasn't enough they didn't have enough servers to serve drinks so the bridal party had to get up and start serving drinks, an extra table was needed for the bridal party due to a mess with the seating arrangements and the venue staff proceeded to bring a POS machine then and there in everyone's presence for a payment to be made, something that I feel could have been taken care of the next day or anytime after the wedding but now the couple had to deal with that inthe prrsence of all their guests. The service is absolutely horrendous, beautiful venue but terrible service, staff...
