TERRIBLE VENUE, DISGUSTING SERVICE & BAD ATTITUDE

We booked this venue in February 2023 for a wedding in December 2023. We discussed our requirements and within a week paid a deposit to secure the venue booking and accommodation for the night of the wedding. There was no communication during the months that followed and when we enquired about the deliverables, we were told that the lady who helped us initially no longer worked there and that there was no record of what was discussed for our event. We had to start all over again with office staff who have no experience in event planning and service delivery.

A week before the wedding, I asked for the room allocation for our guests and was told that no accommodation was allocated to us and that all the rooms were given to another party. They did not have the common courtesy of letting us know that they cancelled our accommodation.

They refused to allow our service providers to enter the venue as arranged to set up, the venue was not clean, the isle was covered in water from the rain the night before and all of this delayed our wedding. The toilets had no toilet paper or hand towels. The lack of management at this venue and attitude of the staff is appalling, that even a one star rating...

The place is beautiful it has such potential but the owner and staff attitudes and unwilling to compromise to make our stay memorable made me change my mind of going there ever again. The room we booked had no curtains just a lining and asked for another room... The other room offered to us only had the front of house cleaned but the bathroom walls and doors had stains the complementary sanitary products were half used and the shower had lime-scale from previous use. If we didn't leave near by and no been able to host the event that we came to attend since they venue kind of thrown out us out as I believed they had arrangement with our host that we can stay little extra time by paying bit more but the next day all changed. At first upon our arrival thought we would return to book sometime in the future with the rest of the family but that attitude I wouldn't want to come...

Where do I even begin. We made a booking a month in advance only to be told on the day of our booking that the restaurant did not reserve space for us. This was followed by a long dispute of gaslighting us about our reservation (which was eventually found on their side after trying to claim we did not make a reservation ). The manager Mpilo is rude and unprofessional has no recollection of how to run an establishment. We ate after 4 hours of being there. The food quality and the couches were horrible. Do not and I repeat do not waste your time here. There was only one place to buy drinks and it was the manager himself making the cocktails too which he stopped essentially meaning you couldn’t get cocktails anymore. There is also no soap in the bathrooms this was the worst absolute worst restaurant I have...
