What a stunning hike! We did a 10km (was not 8km). It was beautiful and hidden in the mountains. The cliffs, the river (there were a few jumps needed to get over or you will get wet, be careful with slippery soles or pack a pair of extra socks haha), but everything was beyond stunning. Only thing I would recommend is to install some rope with knots or something to help people pull themselves up very tall rocks. I had to have someone push me up onto a rock that was taller than myself. I am referring to a small verrry steep section before reaching the highest point of the route. I will not recommend this route for beginners, people with even slight injuries or who is not flexible. Though highly recommended in overall. So worth it! this place is a must visit. We enjoyed a lovely Sider beverage after - they have varieties available on the deck with nice view. They only open at 08:00. ...

Great entertainment, we were a group of seven and enjoyed the Zipline, Archery and Quad Bikes. Quad Bikes were rated the best by all team members, I personally enjoyed the Zipline the most.

A huge turn off for all the team members was the idea of paying R250 for pictures which were shot using a phone not even a camera! Wait the money was actually supposed to be R750 for mere pictures which are taken using a phone. Each activity had its pictures and they were worth R250! Fast forward, we received the link to purchase the pictures separately, according to the activity. Well I purchased the Zipline pictures and guess what? Most of the interesting shots were not captured, no video was included and the guide did take a number of videos.

I would advise you to visit as a group, even if it's two of you so that you can take...

Ooh wow... Beautiful hiking trail, scenery is on another level.. We went on a Sunday and it was not busy, it's quite a drive, about 110km one way from Johannesburg. We did the 8km blue trail (3,and 5 km trails available) and the first hour we were lost in the beauty of the Gorge. Prepare to get wet since you will crisscross the water few times and be very careful when crossing, the rocks are slippery. Hiking stick is a must especially at crossing points for balance and to estimate water depth. It's a moderate trail with mountain climbing on occasion, it slightly reminded me of Rustig on some climbing areas. Take plenty of water, proper shoes, extra pair of socks and enjoy. They have a mini restaurant at the starting point. They also offer other activities Zipline, Quad bike, Archery and others. Site opens at 08h00, bookings...

Did the approx. 10km hike in December 2023. One of the more physically demanding hikes that I have done. You climb up and up and then up some moreβ›°. You have to cross 3 relatively wide streams too- will definitely be getting your shoes wet with this one. Path is clearly marked but overgrowth of shrubs in some patches cause you to lose said path(luckily you can backtrack and there is signal for the most part throughout hike). Will probably not visit again but I am really grateful that I did do this oneβœ… Would definitely recommend to all avid hikers. Getting in is off- road so unless you have good tyres and a high car don't go if rainy. Pizza not great but getting out and to a nearby food place is also missions so probably get something just to tide you over.

What a beautiful trail!!!. We enjoyed ourselves at Muningi. The trails have beautiful scenes, and the markings are clear enough not to get lost on your hike. Unfortunately we couldn't do 8km due to veld fires but we did 5km and it was very enjoyable and water level was low. Overall, the trail needs a bit of physic. You need to be fit and ready to climb through rocks πŸͺ¨. Trail πŸ‘£ it is challenging and very interesting πŸ€”. I enjoyed every moment we were hiking at Muningi Gorge. Keep up the good work. The friendly staff was perfect πŸ‘Œ and very helpful πŸ‘. Keep up the good work and improve the parking spot, maybe with a shelter for cars. Other than that, the trail πŸ‘£ is beautiful 😍
