way lekker. Quiet after the end year break & new year start! The lush greenery is quality nature, the little coast-side towns are a treat, the sea is not freezing cold yet bearable for a majority of beach goers, & there is a tranquillity to the 'south coast' that is palpable. Don't mind bridges when driving - your passengers can appreciate the peering down to the rivers/estuaries crossed, but drivers be safe :-}. Speak some local lingo of you are game too- Zulu & Zoeloe & Durbanite English! hehe.

I unfortunately had an experience where I wasn't able to touch the ground and was off the shore by quite a bit. Unfortunately, there are no life guards on Munster Beach. Read moreThe waves are calmer than other parts of the nearby coast. Small children and old folks are able to enjoy the water here also. We spent almost 3 hours swimming here. They have a beach house with restroom and changing facilities on the beach, and also showers on the beach to get rid of excess sand in swimwear.
