This is a beautiful area to learn about history, its calm and safe. If its too hot there is a Ice cream man who sells and at reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this and after you can take your family to a picnic at the zoo which is just neighbors with the site. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES Overall its a beautiful educational place you can take your family and go have fun next door next.

The Anglo-Boer War Memorial was originally called the Rand Regiments Memorial and dedicated to the men of the Witwatersrand who joined as British soldiers in the Rand Regiments and who had lost their lives during the Second Boer War.
