Namaqua Flower Skilpad Camp — Attraction in Kamiesberg Local Municipality

I was unexpectedly taken aback but the charm of the Skilpad chalets. Whomever designed these for Sanparks really needs a pat on the back for a sense of imagination and style:10/10. Small but quaint, with stunning views and lovely seating and place to enjoy them. Love the surrounding veranda that ramps around the building, and little wrought iron bench (like, in Sanparks?!) They have enclosed the patio with windows making for a spacious feel I really could have stayed 5 more days. Peaceful and comfortable. Our son slept on a sleeper couch, no duvet provided (till we asked), so that was not ideal in July. Also, the sleeper is the only seating in the lounge, so space is limited there. You may need extra blankets in winter. Kitchen has good fridge, oven and 4 plate stove. No mop, only broom, so don't spill! Customarily serviced, but none during covid. Outdoor braai and seating, and Indoor fireplace that was scrupulously clean and can be braaied on (we did, and it extracted well). Small animals, but not a lot of large game were seen. We would love to come back during flowering season, as I am sure it will be magnificent beyond...
