The Amazwi SA Museum of Literature is a total MUST SEE for scholars, students and the average person wanting to dive into the history of our country's heritage. As an interior designer and lover of all things creative, this museum checked all my boxes making a morning excursion absolutely enjoyable!

The creative way in which the museum has been designed has an intentional flow for visitors drawing you deeper into the exhibitions. Their creative use of large scale multipurpose typographic letters, AV equipment and interesting graphics includes itself as one of the premier museums in...

You're greeted by a beautifully landscaped indigenous rock garden as you approach. The beautiful building welcomes you into a spacious, airy and light venue. There's more to learn and explore around every corner. An amazing place for reading, learning, and researching African literature, for students, kids and families; outstanding for live music performances; a calm place to just relax and enjoy something beautiful. Highly...

Very interesting museum for the word and it's aspects. Sections about children fiction, vocal stories, demonstrations and history of South Africa. We've been here for 4 hours and if time allowed we could...

A world class museum in our home province. I had the honor of hosting my first book launch at Amazwi Museum during the National Arts Festival in 2023. The experience was very professional and all the staff members that assisted us were amazing. Pumelele Lavisa, a Research Curator at the Museum hosted the event in a warm and dignified manner.

I attended Dlala Indima's book launch, 2010 to 2020 Retrospective: Potrait of a Graffiti Project. It was a wonderful experience hosted by Pumelele Lavisa a curator at the museum who is also a collaborator with Buntu Fihla and Dr Zingisa Nkosinkulu, the authors of the book.
