Acrobranch Pietermaritzburg — Attraction in Msunduzi Local Municipality

We booked the venue for our son's birthday on Thursday. The quality of the gear and routes are awesome and the two staff helping the kids were nice. But we paid for 2 hours and after 1.5 hours one of the staff told the kids that if they had taken their harnesses off, they couldn't keep using the routes. A couple of the kids had taken them off to go to the bathroom or have something to eat without carrying the weight. One of the moms had to inform the staff member that the kids were allowed to carry on! Which of course they were and he reluctantly helped put their harness on!

On arrival at the venue, the guy behind the counter who accepted our payment was incredibly rude! He didn't say hello, he was unfriendly to us all and rude to the kids when putting their wrist tags on. After the kids had finished their 2 hours and we were singing happy birthday and the kids started eating cake, a couple of the kids lent against the low yellow circuit tyres and this same guy shouted in a loud and nasty voice across the whole arena for the kids to get off! It was so unprofessional, nasty and the tone completely unnecessary. As he was shouting, one of the moms was arriving to fetch their daughter and I was so embarrassed thinking that she must have thought that was how her daughter had been treated for the afternoon! It really was shocking. I think that a person like that should NEVER be in the service industry and immediately removed...

Our son had the most incredible 4th birthday party at Acrobranch PMB! 11 children between the ages of 3 and 6 did the yellow course and absolutely loved it. A few of them were frightened to do it at first, but every single one came around in the end and had the most amazing (and safe) time. The instructors are simply wonderful with the kids, and make sure to give the nervous ones a little more attention and assistance. It was awesome to see the little ones getting the hang of the harness clips and gaining confidence. My son did the whole course about 5 times, he loved it so much (they can do it as many times as they want in the 2 hour session, which was also awesome). Being located in the Botanical gardens is one of the most amazing things. The place screams serenity and fun at the same time🙂. Upon arrival we were welcomed by a very sweet lady who was so eager to help us even though we were late and offered to put us in the following session. That alone showed great customer care and consideration.

On taking the obstacle courses our guide was Andile, a very patient and cheerful lady who was with us through the whole monkey moves course, she made sure we finished the course and we had tremendous fun. It's was quite an adventure and I would encourage anyone who would like visit acrobranch to do so and have one of the best moments...
