Tasting in the Pieter (Bestbier) Cellar with 1 meter thick walls (a former sherry tank) is a treat. In a departure from many other farms, much of the wine at Goede Hoop has been kept for years to present you with offerings that can still age for another 10-15 years, but that are immediately enjoyable and ready to drink. This touch should not be dismissed as most people do not have the proper facilities to cellar wine on their own.
