Stellenzicht Wines — Attraction in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

Disappointment is an understatement. Stellenzicht Wines I am glad to be able to express my worst experience now that i am safe in my apartment, but had it been a different situation after that long walk from Stellenzicht to Engen, where i managed to charge my phone and request, I am sure this pathetic, overrated brand and the sister company could not take even a small responsibility whatsoever. I have been to plus 80 wine farms in Stellenbosch. I have experienced what i deemed the very best & the worst until i was locked at this premise even after paying my bill in full plus a tip. I was waiting for my Uber ride, only to be told by the manager that i had to wait for the ride by the gate. Well, this was not a prob for me. I was only flabbergasted to find the gate locked when I arrived at 18:05 to go out as instructed. I tried to call the Pod without luck for about 20 mins until my battery ran out. I was stuck for 45 mins walking up and down. Had it not been for the grape chardonnay that i started grazing, buying time to be lucky and find someone opening, perhaps i could have just slept. I screamed my lungs out when i saw a D4D white double-cab Hilux-branded Ernie Els. I approached the gate, running as the guy waited. As if it was not enough of a bad experience, this guy found it befitting to explain such an occurrence happening in the past several times. Perhaps they are trying to resonate with their bushy, wild appearance and expose a troglodyte character. Well, next time, just warn guests that they can be locked inside to remember to bring a safari kit and cancel plans outside the premises. So that we don't fall for our tomfoolery instinct that might find comfort in the brand. I am devastated, & hopefully no other people will experience this Wrong Turn situation, especially the Europeans, Asians & Americans who are far from reality. While the view from the wine pod was absolutely stunning and provided a beautiful setting, our experience was unfortunately marred by the behavior of very unruly and loud shouting (for no reason) small children and the lack of intervention from their parents, 12 adults sat at the table next to us, with several children running around unchecked, disrupting the ambiance and making it difficult for us to fully enjoy our time there. Our very nice waiter informed us that children were not allowed, it was disappointing to see that this group had disregarded the rules and double-booked the space for a birthday party. It's concerning that the parents failed to address their children's behavior, as clearly they felt entitled to the entire venue. While this review is not a reflection of the wine pod itself, I hope that the management will take steps to enforce their policies more effectively in the future, and direct these kind of attitude parents to go to Spur (where someone can actually look after their IT child) or find a child friendly wine spots with a...

Perfection…. The most magical evening. It was important to us that our daughter’s 21st birthday was properly celebrated and we could not have asked for more. From the breathtaking surroundings to the exquisite food, from delicious Stellenzicht wines to the personalised attention, we would not change a single thing about our evening last night! The fire pit 🔥 was an added bonus and was deeply appreciated.
