Visited as part of a day tour and arrived by minibus. We were not able to book tickets online as the portal crashed. The ticket operator would only accept 1 payment for the whole bus, instead of individual bookings. There are 3 pricing categories: Full price, discounted SADC price and South African entry ticket price. You have to show your ID/Passport to be eligible for the discounted price. It can get busy to get pictures with the sign if there are tour buses but we had no problems. We saw Elands, Ostriches and seals in the nearby surroundings.

$25 entrance per person (no cash accepted). Come in early before all the humans on tour buses. 15 min hike (or funicular ride) to the lighthouse. Breathtaking views. Trail to the smaller lighthouse is closed because of occasional rock falling, I guess, but… Many trails. You can spend there all day. Have a coffee at the cafe with the view. Might see dassie, antelope and baboons. Bring a swimsuit to dip into Venus pool (more like a puddle) 🙂

What a day! We were a little bit in a rush and didn't explore the park as much as it deserves, really. Take your time, if you can; enjoy the hikes, and watch whales for the lighthouse. Beautiful, BUT I think 400 per person to get in is excessive.

What a day! We were a little bit in a rush and didn't explore the park as much as it deserves, really. Take your time, if you can; enjoy the hikes, and watch whales for the lighthouse. Beautiful, BUT I think 400 per person to get in is excessive.
