Dias Beach has been in my dreams for 20 years! I just never knew it was real. Indeed for two decades I had vivid dreams of the perfect beach, silky white sand, warm ocean water, beautiful rock formations and utter seclusion. I believed this place to be a figment of my imagination until I saw it from Cape Point last year. It turns out I had indeed been here two decades ago! And so this year I returned. And it was spectacular! Everything I could ever hope for. A perfect place. The walk down is enthralling, no rails and pretty steep steps… this entire experience was utterly enchanting! You are alone but not alone because there are a plethora of birds and other wildlife to share these moments with and it makes it the most special place on earth. I am so grateful to have spent time here. Describing what this place did to me is complex: it feels like you’re lost in time and also like you’re the only person on the planet. Thank you to everyone involved in creating access to this masterpiece. It truly is a treasure to behold 💜 Ps. You are truly on your own here and the rip tides are the strongest I...
Read moreA few minutes to walk from the crowded cape of good hope, you will find a very nice beach with almost no tourists. I recently visited Diaz Beach and was blown away by its beauty. The beach is clean and well-maintained, and the water is so clear you can see the fish swimming around your feet. The waves can be a bit strong, so it's important to be careful when swimming, especially with children. There are also some great hiking trails nearby that offer stunning views of the coastline. Overall, Diaz Beach is a must-visit for anyone looking for a relaxing and picturesque...
Read morePlease don't publicise this beach. It is heaven on earth and I could have sat on it for ever! The crashing waves, wonderful soft sand and great surroundings are to die for. Lots of steps down to it and more importantly back up, mean it's quiet. Very quiet. But then if it was easy to access everyone would go there and then it would be "just another beautiful South...
