Glencairne is the safest beach in terms of personal belongings. My husband forgot his slofs on the cladded wall, we drove to Millers Point and on our return about 1 1/2 hrs later, he found it on the same spot. Waves are awesome! But be careful of the riptides and listen when lifegaurds call you out of the water, it's for your own good. The shallow bay makes it enticing to go for the waves far at the back, but coming back to shore can become tricky. When in danger, just Float and wave your arms.
