Moonglow Guesthouse — Hotel in Western Cape

We stayed for one night while visiting family and it was a fantastic experience!

Gillian is a brilliant host, preparing a delicious breakfast for us in the morning. Gillian also ensured we had easy access to our room even though we had arrived late in the day.

The views are astonishing! We couldn't resist waking up early to watch the sun rise. I would definitely recommend it! We felt completely at home at Moonglow Guesthouse and we cannot wait to have the opportunity to visit again.

The rooms are perfectly fitted for our needs, with many useful items, including a small sewing kit. We loved the attention to detail. There is no air-conditioning but that was not an issue for us because there's an overhead fan. Privacy seems to have previously been a problem but we had no concerns thanks to the dividers that have been installed on the balcony. Felt very private and secure!

We had the privilege of spending one night at Moonglow Guest house during the past week. Once again we were not disappointed! Each time we visit Moonglow there are improvements which make staying there unbeatable. Moonglow offers exquisite views across False Bay both day and night. By day one can see boat activity and just enjoy the beauty of th sea. By night the lights of Simonstown and Muzenberg make for a romantic and peaceful atmosphere .|The hosts, Gill and Glynn bend over backwards to cater to every need and are beyond welcoming.|The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed. Every need is catered for. Luxurious. Definitely the best guesthouse we have ever stayed in. Well done...

Das Gästehaus liegt an einem steilen Hang und bietet ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus. Eine Garage wurde zusätzlich auch angeboten. Als erstes haben uns die Hunde des Hauses laustark begrüßt. Naja, wir sind nicht ängstlich, aber sicher nicht jedermanns Fall. Das muss man erwähnen. Der Ausblick auf die Bucht ist eigentlich sehr schön, etwas getrübt durch die Bundesstraße die nicht ganz ins sonst super schöne Bild passt. Die Medaille für die Herzlichkeit geht an die Gastgeberin. Sie ist super freundlich und bereitet einem mit Herz und Seele das Frühstück zu. Gebe es eine Bewertung für die Herzlichkeit bekäme sie 5 Sterne. Zum Frühstück gibt es frische Früchte, Müslis und Joghurt, frische Milch und Kaffee. 2 Käsesorten. Leider keine Wurst, das fehlte mir irgendwie, auch wenn ansonsten alles super frisch und lecker war. Die Marmelade ist selbstgemacht und das schmeckt man. Es gibt Toast und die Bestellung für Spiegeleier oder Rühreier mit Bacon und Pilzen nimmt die Chefin Personen entgegen. Alles sehr familiär und herzlich. Ich würde mir aber irgendwie wünschen nicht am Gemeinschafttisch zu sitzen. Das ist sicher Geschmacksache. Das Zimmer ist gemütlich eingerichtet und ausreichend groß. Der Blick geht direkt auf des Meer, leider ist die Küstenstraße hier auch vom Geräuschpegel sehr präsent. Was mich stört, ist auch die Gemeinschafsterrasse. Daher, es handelt sich um eine durchgehend große Terrasse auf welche alle Zimmer Ihre Tür raus haben. Die Privatsphäre vermisse ich hier. Daher kann es auch sein, dass Gäste vor dem Zimmer stehen. (Zu beachten vielleicht wenn man aus dem Bad kommt) Das Zimmer hat keine Klimaanlage, sondern nur einen Ventilator. Schade, aber sicher...
