Absolutely love walking in and around Tokai Forest at anytime of the day....the beautiful little go to coffee shop is great! However dogs not on leads, trying to avoid piles of doggy poo is becoming a big problem at Tokai forest, Greenbelt, Alphonso trail, Zandvlei....doggies don't know how to cover up their 'business ' but surely adults do? It is concerning that not all dogs (big/small) are as friendly as the next and some pooch or child even an adult is going to get hurt....dogs just want to play/be free etc but the dog owners/walkers need to respect fellow dog owners/walkers and those walking by not leaving poops on the pathway, cover them up or put them I a poop bag as it's making a beautiful experience into one...

Walking trails are clearly marked and people are generally friendly and respectful.
The the 4km perimeter is ideal for walkers and runners who want to improve their times.
In the minus column, people don't always have control of their non-leashed dogs and the cyclists can sometimes catch you by surprise as they race along the paths.
There has also been terrible crime in the park, so be vigilant.

Take some sunscreen for the more open areas and enjoy the shade of the forest if you prefer. Plenty of great lookout points, fresh air, a stream and best of all the people who go there are usually very friendly. Great place to get all your steps in for the day πΆπΎββοΈπΆπββοΈππ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ
