Took an early morning run through the streets of Seomyeon and reached a fairly large park, the Busan Citizens Park. It’s a fairly large park, I’m guessing roughly 3-4km all around. This entire park used to the the HQ of the Imperial Japanese Army during WW2 and thereafter the former site of US Military in Busan. It was still quiet, with only a handful of runners and a few senior citizens out and about their daily routines. It was a really good moment to enjoy, a quiet respite from the preceding days of hectic exploration. Never thought that I would ever pick myself out of bed to run, but the thrill of doing so in a new city, exploring at the same time is fairly exhilarating. The distance to the park from my apartment and the size of the park meant that I run further and longer that I ever did before and I’ve only just started running. It helps having a goal in sight and good music too. It was a good run. It was a...

Busan citizen park is the most loveliest place to hangout with your family and friends. This place is well connected and the entire park is in a flat region. There are several gates to enter the park. The park have different areas for children's play (sand area), different physical activity area for children's as well as elders. In the middle a green field welcomes you to play run and do whatever you want. The green field was surrounded by trees which gives you ample space to take rest under them. The water fountain is very interesting which makes the great attraction during evening time. There are several convenient stores inside the park. You can see the fish in waterside and makes a retro village theme near by. I just recommend go and enjoy everything there. From 5 years to 100 years old everyone will enjoy. And yes no need to say most of the Korean parks are free of cost to enter and enjoy. Have a...

Decided to go to Busan Citizens Park because of the kids, on a Saturday. It turned out to be way bigger and more fun that we imagined. It is more than a big park. It spans across a large area and has multiple playground, bathrooms, a maze, building such as 3D movie for kids, a kids library and some cafe/snack area. It was quite busy and people from all ages enjoyed the park. Families enjoyed the open spaces to play kites badminton, walk their dog and young and old enjoy running and walking around the park/ circuit. A fantastic park for all ages. Clean with convenient amenities. There also has several water fountains across the park but unfortunately as we went in the cold season (February), the water fountains were...

Update 2025 Free to enter and just a short walk from Bujeon Market, this spacious park is calm and mostly visited by locals — not many tourists. You can feed the big fish in the pond for ₩1,000 (card accepted), English language available. Lots of people relaxing with snacks and dogs, and clean toilets available. Open 5 AM–midnight, a great place to unwind in Busan. 2024 What a fantastic park for everyone to enjoy at no cost. Lots of very good walking paths, places to sit and watch people walking their dogs, and interesting displays. There is also an opportunity to feed the fish however as a tourist, we found it difficult with no English, so sadly, we missed out. If you are in the area, this is a must do for all ages.
