2024.8.13~14 방문. 뒤에는 호수, 앞에는 동해를 끼고 있는 특이한 구조의 화진포 해수욕장. 13일 밤에 출발해 텐트를 치고 캠핑한 후 14일은 온전하게 천천히 즐겼다. 화진포해수욕장은 화진포호에서 동해로 연결된 작은 물줄기가 중간 부분을 가르기 때문에 이곳을 중심으로 양쪽에 주차장이 각각 있다. 그 중 하나는 주차비가 무료이고 다른 하나는 유료인데 유료인 곳에 솔밭 캠핑장, CU편의점, 샤워실이 있다. 캠핑장 이용료가 있는 것으로 아는데 밤 늦게 들어가서인지 내진 않았고, 주차비만 냈다. 해질 무렵에는 호수쪽을 둘러봤는데 정말 잊기 힘든 노을을 봤다.
