Enjoyed the museum with the children's museum, central spiral ramp leading to the different galleries, museum shop, and restaurant. Most exhibitions are free but we paid 2000KRW per adult to see the special exhibit. Staff were kind and they have baby stroller rental as well as a decent baby care room. Restaurant was out of ingredients when we finally stopped there to test about 4pm, so perhaps good to go earlier if you are planning to eat. Transportation to the museum is fine but it is hard to call a taxi in to leave. Make sure you take note of the museum bus schedule! Otherwise if the weather is OK you can walk down 5 to 10 minutes (depending on your pace) to Seoul Land where there is a Elephant train you can ride down to the metro station/main entrance of Seoul Grand Park. (I didnt know but the zoo, museum, Seoul Land, etc are all part of the Grand Park campus). If in Spring I would highly recommend just walking down to enjoy...

Sadly isolated a good 20-30 min walk from the nearest metro station and uphill most of the way. Those with mobility issues are duly warned. Their webpage makes no mention of the free shuttle from Exit 4 (there are no signs in the metro station directing you to it either) however, the shuttle deposits you well below the museum itself so more walking uphill. In summer months this will be a brutal climb in the heat. There is a shuttle from the newer MMCA in Seoul city centre that takes you to the museum itself but it runs infrequently. Needless to say, by the time I finally reached the museum I was in no mood to visit.

I would highly recommend you visit the Nam June Paik Art Centre even further south of Seoul which is fully accessible and has welcoming multilingual staff who genuinely care for the welfare of...

What I most liked about this museum was the Yoyoi Kusama pumpkin that was outside and the stunning landscape decor ! Also the interior architectures was incredible!! Staff was also friendly as I asked one security member to take me a photo.

Unfortunately I did not find any interesting exhibition on that date. The only I say I liked the most was the permanent samsung exhibition (tower of TVs)

This place is in a great location by the zoo cable cars where you can see all the neighbourhood, also the museum can be reached by elephant train! Sooo cutee!! Really recommend this...

Today is a free entrance (last Wednesday of the month= Culture day), the exhibition on the first floor (Lee Shin Ja, Threadscapes) is really good and the Strolling through Nature: The Dongsan Park Joohwan Collection was ok too. There are 3 MMCA, 1 is opposite the Gyeongbokgung Palace, 2 is inside the Deoksugung, and 3 is at Gwacheon. I take a free shuttle bus at 1st MMCA at 10AM, and the bus stops at Park Hotel to pick up the passenger after an hour arrival to the MMCA Gwacheon at 11AM and I took a last free shuttle bus at 4PM back to Seoul. The children waiting room is good.

Getting to the Museum can be a bit of a challenge. There is parking at the Museum but you can expect to wait for a spot to open up during the weekend. I suggest parking at the Seoul Grand Park parking lot and either taking the chair lifts (adventurous), taking the zoo elephant tram (expendiant), or taking a 1 km walk (athletic) to the Museum. If arriving by rail, get off at the Seoul Grand Park stop. The Racecourse stop may look closer on the map but it really is not... trust me!

Itโ€™s a huge museum and they have cool exhibitions all the time. Itโ€™s just a little out of the way from Seoul but you can get there by train in about 45 minutes to an hour. We went to see the Lee Kun Hee collection and enjoyed it a lot. A lot of exhibitions are free but make sure to register online before you go because it can get very busy and you might not be able to go in!
